Funny that, of the 400+ items I have wishlisted on Rendo, NOT ONE got a 50% discount.
Meanwhile, I'm getting a 97% discount on the Daz Store at a G3 Pro Bundle. Man, no wonder so many vendors are leaving. What a shitty store. Which is sad, they have a lot of good products and vendors there.
Yep, rendo is just expensive. If you want to buy stuff there you pretty much have to have prime. But then prime offers most of the time exclude coupons, which is of course annoying since one of the things you get from prime is... coupons.

All in all it's pretty difficult to buy stuff on renderosity. That bogo sale they had the last two days is probably one of the better deals you can get since you get two items for the price of one.

So, just a note...

Today might be a good day to clear out a few older Daz Original/Plus items off of your wishlist. I saw a number of items drop below the 50 cent mark after applying 8 tokens. This does NOT include the 50% off wishlist coupon.

There's the 'extra 50% off select Daz Originals' that probably plays into this, but of course there are a LOT of items there so it's hard to know exactly which wishlist items get the extra 50%, unless you have the script thingie that I haven't bothered with.

I pushed things right to the wire to get that extra token before the lightning deals reset, it was close... I was moving stuff in and out of my cart, ended up with around 100 items, a few of these were bundles that I grabbed using the 50% off wishlist coupon. Not quite as good as a particular March Madness sale from yesteryear when I grabed hundreds of items a few years back, but yeah I was pretty happy with the discounts, cart Jenga silliness aside.

Anyways, I now have a few extra tokens banked, now to take another look at the Halloween select items to see if there's anything there that I don't already have that I want.

You seriously might want to consider grabbing a Plus membership at least, if not Premier. Those $5 doorbuster items drop to $2.99with Plus, and $1 with Premier, and it sounds like you are grabbing enough of those items to justify going Premier for a couple of months. Plus, you get more coupons and freebies and better discounts on various items!

Keep in mind that the memberships are 'opt out' but if you are spending say $50 a month on Daz stuff already, you can probably justify the expense.

If you are not in 'protest mode' like some of us that feel gipped about the Daz3D sales team watering down our current Daz+ memberships 'cuz of premier, yeah it sounds like you can get a lot of mileage out of Premier.

Exactly. I've been buying slowly there the stuff I want. I could've use the coupon if it had some decent discounts. Urgh :cautious:

My Renderosity strategy has changed a bit thanks to the migration of a few vendors over to Daz3D.com, but essentially, I don't mind spending a little extra for items that really interest me.

This 'generosity' usually doesn't carry over to Daz3D.com sales, where thanks to the Daz3D.com sales team training us to watch for extreme discount stacking, I usually won't spend over $2/item average in my cart (i.e. a prereq might cost more, but the other items offset this by being below $2).

I'm still on record advocating for 'less extreme' sales in favor of lower everyday prices. But of course, the Daz3D.com sales team is counting of a few 'rubes' paying full prices for items that they need right then for whatever project they are working on. I think this is disrespectful to said customers, but that's capitalism for ya!

Of course, now the problem for Renderosity, as far as my shopping there is concerned, is that now I'm grabbing stuff at Daz3D.com instead from vendors that have made the move to the Daz3D.com store, and am just playing the waiting game now for them to move the rest of their items that they haven't moved already.

I don't mind throwing a little extra money at vendors that make stuff I really like, but if I know that an item will drop below $2 eventually in some Daz3D.com sale, unless I really want something right then, yeah I wait. Which means that said vendor makes less per item, but hopefully the increased traffic makes up for it revenue wise.

I haven't conversed with any Daz3D.com vendors about such things, and of course the vendors and the Daz3D.com sales team like to keep such information private for the most part.

The problem for me is the conversion to my currency. This week the dollar went up like a roller coaster, so the conversion now is like, $1 = $BRL 6. So to buy 2~3 products for $25 is simply not worth the cost in the end.

Although I agree with you, Kaleya, Lilflame, Rhiannon... excellents artists that deserve a fair compensation, but what can I do..

I haven't been tracking the currency valuations, but yeah seeing the 'conversion' driving prices through the roof would be very annoying.

What makes me happier when clothing is concerned is that a number of the 'newly added' clothing items that moved over from Renderosity include 'expose body part' morphs, which of course is more useful to us Adult Game/VN creators.

Sure, you can use Mesh Grabber, but having a dedicated morph to begin with, that you can then make minor adjustments to afterwords using Mesh Grabber is helpful.

I almost never buy texture packs, and usually just use cloth, etc. shaders instead to spruce things up, but in this month's sale, I've grabbed a number of Anagord's texture sets for various sexy outfits. So I'm sure that Anagord, along with a few other vendors that recently made the move, appreciate my interest/business!

One additional thing about Daz Premier (and Daz+) that changed recently is that you can now pay for them with store credit. So since you get better gift card deals with Daz+ and Premier, that's another thing to factor in.

Usually I grab these texture packs when they're very cheap. They appear quite often on the lightning deals, so when there's a stacking discount, I grabbed them because, why the hell not.

I've mainly been grabbing them, when the discounts line up, to help me reach the next $10 mark for token purposes.

Unfortunately, while checking out items for the 50% off select Halloween items Daz3D.com sale, I've been sucked down a couple of rabbit holes. Does anyone recognize what product package this tube top is from? Also, this dress with the hands thing going on...

Edit: Found the dress:

Still trying to figure out the top. The sleeves thingie is a different product that doesn't include that top.

Edit 2: oaiki found the top and skirt, and also found the Bolero that I spotted earlierif that interests you. Daz link for top & skirt here:

Are there any "must haves" for newbs like me? I'm sticking to G9 stuff as it works best with my pipeline. I'm mainly buying characters to be able to morph them into the person I want. Finding a lot of clothes from 8 and 8.1 here on f95. I bought a bunch of hair also. I'm just wondering if there is an absolute must have to make life easier.
I'm doing Daz3D -> UE5 (materials) with Blender Alembics for animation (body and face mocap).

Yeah I'm after the top/bandeau/bralette thingie. I already saw the page for the Bolero after working around a few 'unavailable' links as stuff was moved over from Renderosity to Daz3D.com

Thanks oaiki!

Been specifically searching for that bralette/tube top/bandeau thingie for about an hour now... now to see if it's moved over to Daz3D.com yet.

Edit: Yes, it has, haven't checked for the texture set yet.

What a shitty store. Which is sad, they have a lot of good products and vendors there.
Very much a matter of points of view.
I buy on both (literally doing it right now), dropped the Daz+, not doing the premium because not worth it for me, it is basically meant to be addictive - to really benefit, as someone calculated you have to spend around 50 USD per month every month.

The G3 discount you are getting is because they are old products and probably they know they can be found on the Internet for free - nothing against G3, I still happily use characters, clothes and hairs.
At least for clothes, I even go all the way to V4, and even for characters, I have many V4 installed and converted them to G3 as step for eventually G8 so I can use all kind of stuff with them.
I even still buy stuff for G3 and V4.

At the same time, most of the stuff I get with the renderosity prime (which with the yearly, I don't recall being not more expensive than Daz+) is useful and not "clearance" assets, and although Daz improved by extending the life of the tokes, the rewards points of renderosity still win IMHO because they have no expiration date.

Does not mean renderosity is forcibly better than Daz, but it is a matter of points of view and individual experience.

You just have bad luck streak, I do not have hundred of things in my wishlist, but I put a couple in the trolley, added a new thing on discounted price, put the additional discount code, and I got the discount.

Effectively, from what I have seen, Daz did get many "new" artists, but it does not seem they ran away completely from Renderosity, the impression is more that Daz must have improved the conditions for the assets creators, so many they started having assets on both shops.
