Why the fuck is it required to start fresh? Why do Devs this after like 2 Years of development?
New gameplay change which means an overhaul of the code so saves won't work.
This is the first time a save game doesn't work for the game.
But it is a game in development after all and changes like these can happen.

To enjoy once again the story instead of x last point played? Also if you speedrun the content already saw,should take not time until you reach the new content, which i don't recommend it because its a nice story so far.
I'm not big into management of resources in games, that's why I selected the second option when I started a fresh game.
Only I'm unable to access the shop so that I can equip a gun, in order to complete the last couple of main tasks.
So, I was wopndering if anyone has been able to do so.

Lets say text based games had thier peak in the 80's, they belong there - and should be left there ...
I hate to be the guy but i have to say that the time used for the contracts would be better used anywhere else. Somehow I am not (yet) sure whether the cost/benefit factor is justified.
After the Xth run on nimble fingers(?) i have all gotten that was described in the mission overview. A cool thing was the old man in the contract that was providing about the family of the MC e.g. MC's father. comes this later in play?
Nevertheless, I will look at all the contracts and play through them, if only to unlock the renders I mentioned. In the first contract, renders were 3(?) unlockable, right?

Text based games are some of the biggest money makers netting Fenexo 30k+ a month for stuff like Trials in Tainted Space, Corruption of Champions and Savin makes several grand on Corruption of Champions 2.
Lillith's Throne is making absolute bank.
Not to mention the masses of text based games that pop up monthly that seem to get players instantly.
So you are kinda wrong...
Edit- I say kinda wrong cos you aren't wrong completely, they are nowhere near as popular as they were back before my time.
They do have an audience though but so does everything if done right. Is all I was trying to say.
I am very open to feedback on the new gameplay part.

Text used to be the standard for porn games. I remember when most of them were made in AIF or Rags and you had to forego your life to try playing one of them. There is a reason the genre exploded with Renpy and Unity.
The fact a dev rebooted their perfectly working and relatively succesful game in order to include something like that would be pure paranoia. If I wasn't already used to seeing all kinds of reasons one could think for weg devs to rework their game that is...

I had never claimed to be right or to keep it. I can only speak from my own experience that I was glad when the text-based games were gradually replaced. I am absolutely aware that I cannot judge objectively about these kind of games - let's just call it childhood trauma.
Not to forget: the TADS player
I remember the school dreams 1-3 and all the other games from goblinboy, hell his games are totally bonkers, even now i take look into his gems.

Sorry to say mate, but I intensely dislike it.
Stopped playing as contracts just feel so cumbersome and time consuming, yet unsatisfying & unrewarding.
I didn't enjoy these dungeon explorers when they were written in BASIC in the 80's.
Seeing it become a major aspect of this game is massively "meh", to me.
