Just posting to give my perspective and possibly the perspective of similar players.
I subbed to patreon to play early, and while I liked the new content with the new scenes, I played story mode and didn't touch the contracts (nor do I plan on doing so, but I'm sure they're entertaining to other players).

I love the new contract system, a unique item and a unique render for nearly all contracts is great. I completed all contracts with different outcomes before starting to game. Steadfast guy -and his words of course- was really suprising though, are there more of these suprises? Story of contracts are decent, really good work. But I have encountered 3 errors;
1- I cant get the vine scene with Isabelle, it dont prevent to continue though. I ignored error messages and passed that event in black screen.
2- During "The Bonanza Meeting contract" directions (which not shown in the mini-map) appears and if accidentally click one them, game crashes.
3- In gallery I can reach to special renders but can not reach to "replay room"

Hey HopesGaming I have a question. If we decide to play the game at VN mode or freeroam mode instead of full experience will we miss out on those special events or renders from the game?

Freeroam is not available, only VN.
Unsure about the renders, but just FYI.
Right now there are no consequences with going with both. That may change down the line tho. No worries, I make a way so you won't be locked out or forced to a path.

All those 3 things have been fixed in 0.07.1
There are some special renders that are given out and some renders specific to contracts, those will be missed.
But nothing major. I may make it be so you get all the renders with no gameplay option later tho.

Oh, my. I didn't even notice it up there until you said something. Guess my choice has been made and I'll be playing it tonight at some point. Was trying to wait, especially since I see bug complaints, but no more of that it would seem.

Quick one for you, the ghost of Wilfred appears in the dungeon and you get the dialogue options to go to "Work", despite already being on a contract.
Also, I rejected a contract yet, when leaving Wilfred at Cordia's door, it began, regardless.

I had 3 available, think it was the 1st.
Had completed it twice.
Another thing, on that one, the market stall guy with the book disappears if you do not buy the book 1st time of meeting him.
Oh & failing to buy the book can cause us to fail the mission, despite having stolen the jacket & jewelry.
Seems a bit off, to fail a contract to steal stuff for not being able to buy a book. I'd spent my cash on stealth gear, so didn't have the cash for the book, lost a Mission Point and failed the contract.
Reloaded, then went back and re-did it with the stealth hat & trousers, had enough to buy the book & all was well.

Jury is still out with me, I agree that the old contract style was easily exploited for money and what not, this new system may need to be calmed down a tad. I will admit that I am just getting the hang of it, but getting failure after failure because of perception failures, without any way that I can find to change that, gets frustrating after a while (Maybe I am missing something).

Agreed. Perception failures when just walking around & no apparent way to increase Perception, is just frustrating & tedious.
I got a fedora that gave me some Charisma, but not seen a way to gain Perception yet.
Why put a woman in the first contract, when we won't have enough Charisma to interact with her until later?
Why not just put her in a later contract, once we've gained, or are close to gaining enough?
Make the interaction with her an achievement for progress.
