The reason for the delay has been due to health issues.
The release will be very soon and then back to the normal release routine.

I've been pretty active in all the platforms to make sure all the playerbase know of this and the progress of the game.

Sorry to hear that. This dev was really great, give him my wishes. Most likely the release scedule was to much for him.
What I really will miss was how the dev likes to joke around about the state of the game and so on.
