This Halloween side-story was... underwhelming, to say the least. There is no real "branching" in terms of picking Kathryn's partner for the night - based on the theme, I was expecting to be able to choose between a Vampire, Werewolf, and well, Frankie. You know, the staples of all Halloween mythos? Instead, either you do Frankie, or it's one giant nothingburger of a "story".
Wholly unnecessary waste of resources & time. And can we please stop animating every single lewd action? I'd much rather that the animations are reserved for actual sex stuff, so the time isn't "wasted" on animating Kathryn swaying her ass.
That's tough. Anyone does criticize someone's work. Showing a little understanding and respect for the dev ideas is not. 90-99% of people are not even willing to pay for a dev work but they have a lot of demands.
As far as animation goes first and foremost the dev should do what he wants and what he likes. There are so many other games and specials that you will surely like more if you don't like this style. Often the player thinks the game is made for them and tries to change it to their preferences - this is a mistake. Let the developer breathe.
Don't take this the wrong way it's nothing against you - I respect your opinion but everyone wants "something" and what's a dev to do? He can't please everybody so he should do it mostly by himself - and everybody should choose the game that suits him the most not try to change or criticize another one.
Not sure why game devs are obsessed with doing holiday specials. Personally I find they break immersion and are generally disappointing when you're expecting a story update. I'll skip this one and wait for the next normal update.
I'm not a fan of these specials either but I understand that it can be a bit of a "rest" from the standard story for dev. Definitely don't play something you don't like so skipping this special and waiting for a normal update is a reasonable approach. Also what else is left for you to do in this case. The normal thing to do would be to wait for the full game or at least half of it. But nowadays people are waiting for every update and forcing developers to rush just to enjoy a new 10 minutes of the game and it's repeated over and over again.
Let everyone do what they want is everyone's business but everyone should refrain from criticizing the devs work or addressing some waste of time if they decided to play a game in development just for a few minutes update.
I disagree on this , while this is just my personal preference but for me if he is going to have animations I really enjoy it when teasing actions are animated, as I find they are usually hotter and more arousing than sex for me. That and it makes the game stand out a bit more to me. But at the same time I do understand what you mean cause not everyone cares for that. I do think it be better to have a balance between having some animated and some that aren't so those that do enjoy them still get something , as id hate for them to stop completely.
I agree with this view. You write very sensibly. It's hard to please everyone so I prefer that the developer make the game mostly to his own liking and people will either play it or not. There's an incredible amount of games out there so everyone could choose to their liking.
