To create, improve and promote a game, you also need money and a lot of time. We...who download and play on this site do it for free. A BIG THANK YOU TO THOSE WHO GIVE US THIS...(y)(y)...PS...Not all players or fans can support their idols for various reasons.:(
That is very true. Many devs need to be supported to continue and I get that. My post was directed to those who give money and those devs who take money and then do next to nothing with it. I totally see your point though.

Lmao sorry meant another game Idk how tf did this come here
It's an honest mistake. I just checked if you had found your way to the Blurring the Walls-thread, and you did. ;)

As to the subscriber exclusive web-version, and public release some weeks later, I guess that doesn't affect me much either. I do understand the perspective of those who see it as a sign of worse things to come. I don't have much experience with developers doing that sort of thing, but my intuition mirrors some earlier post about the futility of fighting piracy, as opposed to just focusing on making a good game.

I feel bad for him that it gets leaked so quick but I don't think a web version was a good idea tbh.
same here. Like it honestly made me worry about the future of the game tbh and usually I don't have negative feeling like that for games I love.

Dev only posted the poll to test the waters about the web version, which he was thinking may curb the loss of income. He stopped the poll after getting results against it and a few rather heated posts on Discord. I won't play a web based game, and let the Dev know. Personally, I like getting these games and support them when I can - as with this one.

I don't have a bug up my ass about Devs that produce a good game, respond to feedback and generally just want to have a reasonable amount of time to make money before everyone gets it for free. A lot of Devs don't have that issue - there seems to be an understanding ... while others get the shaft. Apparently there is a place for a Dev to select something about 'new content leaked' which someone here suggested that it was leaked, and then taken down but then put right back up! If the site allows that option, then it shouldn't matter that someone doesn't like that it was taken down ... it should be moderated, if there is to be any credibility, IMO.

Discord? I thought he didn't have a discord channel for the game?

I have seen this before, devs start out really nice and accommodating and then once people start giving on Patreon or where ever the devs behavior starts to change. Slowly at first as to not scare people away from giving but honestly once people start giving the dev pretty much knows they are hooked and not likely to stop giving and so can pretty much make whatever excuses for the delays or the reduction in quality.

I honestly blame both the devs and the community of people donating. STOP DONATING automatically, I have. I only give to projects that have been out for awhile and have consistent quality and releases or just to completed projects that I have played and appreciate. Those that blindly or stupidly donate to people before getting an update that is quality are hurting the community as a whole. Why would a dev push themselves if they are getting paid either way? Why would they care about the project if its just a money maker and they are making money without having to do much with the project?

Its really simple, stop believing lies devs tell. Stop donating when all a dev has are excuses. Stop donating when release after release after release is delayed for bs reasons or the quality of the releases continue to go down hill. Once people use their brains and stop donating to devs that give them very little to donate for we hopefully will get some better devs that actually WORK for the donations.
The major problem with this type of "donation" payments is the dev is given money but no incentive or motivation to complete his work on the VN any quicker. Imagine at your workplace where you didn't meet your deadline and your work wasn't finished until weeks or even a month later from when its expected. Its a luxury for devs where if it was actually a workplace they'd be fired. In fact they can make up constant excuses and have people believe whatever they say. There are no consequences other than the possibility of losing some subs. Even then if they just take a little longer each update theres no harm done. Even when these players don't realise that the game play time is also shorter. Which again is almost never mentioned on here.

Extremely rare for a dev to make these games while working another job. Over 95% are doing this full time.
All devs earning a living from this, getting tens of thousands or more from their supporters, need to have a deadline for each update. It should be mandatory.

Oh my God "over 95% are doing this full time." Where are you getting this from? You seem to be the one making stuff up. They are all making thousands with no incentive? Really?! A few lost subs is the only consequence? You don't know what you are talking about. Most of the devs I know are doing it part time because they can't make enough to do it full time. This constant bullshit story from the cognitive dissonance crowd is ridiculous. You don't pay for games and yet feel the devs are trying to take advantage of YOU. This helps you feel less guilty. I am playing lots of games for free and supporting some devs some of the time. I feel guilty that I'm not supporting more, but at least I have the self-knowledge and balls to accept that I'm the one stealing from them.

Right and your not making up that you know a bunch of devs and all of them are doing it part time? You have your "truth" and other people have theirs. I am suggesting that people stop giving money to devs that are doing next to nothing with it. I don't really care why I care that they are making ANY money basically swindling money out of people. Now you can agree with devs who say things like "oh family issues" over and over and over again to excuse very late releases when it was the dev that said when they would put out the release or to excuse content quality going way down for the same sorts of excuses.

The devs I think are legit are the ones who are doing their games because they enjoy doing them, not for money but for themselves and you can really tell the ones that are doing it because they want to. The have solid good quality releases, they rarely make excuses and they don't take forever.

There was one dev (won't say who) that LITERALLY said their game didn't make enough and they were shutting it down. So all those people who donated got screwed. Now I appreciate the dev didn't just shut down without a reason but I think that dev was saying out loud what other devs are just doing. Just check how many abandoned games are out there, how many people donated at one point to those games only to get screwed.

I have supported devs financially in past because I liked their project and wanted it to continue but every game I supported was abandoned so I don't do it anymore until the project is finished I have played it and liked it.

You go kiss more dev asses with your defense of them but I don't make a bunch of generalized vague arguments about why I don't support just blindly giving devs money when they have shown time and time again that they don't use it for the game.

Did the game not receive an update since 7 months?
The second a dev stands up for themselves, the blatant lies and toxicity emerge like crazy.
So much seething in this thread just means the dev may do what Indecent Wife Hana dev did;
Stop engaging with anyone except direct supporters.

You all alienate the good devs and then wonder why devs don't listen to you.
There was no point in time that Bobbyboy disappeared 7 months. That is nuts.

I'm not making anything up, but yeah, you'll believe what you want. And the unjustified anger at the devs you are stealing from comes from sexual frustration. I see more anger in this forum from players who don't get updates as fast as they'd like, or don't get the kink they want, than I see anywhere else on the internet. It's sexual frustration - it is more emotional than other kinds of disappointment.

All the abandoned games are the evidence that most developers don't make enough money to keep going. Certainly evidence against the idea that most are making thousands, and just sitting back and laughing at all the suckers supporting them, without any motivation or incentive to do the work, as you and so many others like to believe. And sure, some make games for their own pleasure, but these games cost a lot of money to make. Even if you love doing it, you can't produce a high quality game unless you are either already quite wealthy, or are making money from it. I make games, and I wish I could do it full time, but I can't afford to. So yeah, I'm kissing my own ass when I defend the devs. But what I'm really doing is defending truth. I just find the level of self-delusion around who is taking advantage of who disgusting, and I have to speak out against it - it's my nature.

Hey everyone,

I wanted to take a moment to address the situation regarding piracy and explain where I’m coming from. I know this site has been instrumental in the success of my project on Patreon, and I’m incredibly grateful for that. Many of my supporters discovered my work through this thread, and I deeply appreciate it.

My goal with early releases was simply to reward my loyal subscribers while also covering some of the development costs through the extra income it provided. Unfortunately, with the recent leaks, that additional support is likely no longer possible. I understand the concerns that some fans have raised, and I want to be clear—I’m not looking to alienate or upset anyone who enjoys my game. Because of the feedback I’ve received, I’ve decided not to move forward with a web version. However, I may still explore this option for iOS users, as they currently don’t have a way to play the game.

I’ve come to terms with the fact that I may not be able to benefit from early releases as I once did. That said, I still want to find a way to reward my most loyal patrons. To address this, I’ll be introducing a "loyalty release" that will come before the regular early access tiers. I’ll be posting more details about this on Patreon soon, outlining the requirements and how it will work. My hope is that this approach will give my most dedicated supporters something special while continuing with the existing three-tier early release system for everyone else.

Lastly, I want to thank everyone who has supported me along the way. I don’t check these forums often because it’s easy to lose track of time, but please know how much I appreciate all of you. I hope you’re all having an amazing weekend!

Bobby

Guys, is this choice bugged? I tell her not to do this (posing in nude lingerie) but she's done it anyway with no explanation. It looks like something missing here.

I'm trying to go "innocence path" as much as possible, but this choice seems not working correctly.
