Other than that, I think he's supposed to be bringing a bottle, which none of those bags are really suitable for.

So, the infamous Chapter 7 has finally been released! Thankfully, most of you seemed happy with it, which was a huge relief.

I genuinely think the changes made the story stronger. Some of the over-the-top moments just didn’t fit the tone of the game and came off as a bit jarring, even silly.

The mind boggles to think of a version more jarring and silly that what we ended up with.

I'm thinking it had to be maybe some kind of rape scene with Rebecca and the goons before Santi arrived. Since that was an already dark scene and if it had to be toned I just can't see it being any of the beach ones. or the basement with Franklyn would be my 2nd guess.

Nate pressures Luke into letting him do stuff with Kathryn, or pressures him into pushing Kathryn to do stuff with Nate (same outcome, slightly different steps) on the threat of exposing Luke's cheating if he doesn't. (And I mean sharing as in letting someone else fool around with your girl, not sharing as in threesome, because I also don't think Nate wants Luke involved.)

Disagree on Nate - that's assigning f95 player logic to him. I feel like a normal skeezebag in the real world - if he thinks a girl is hot, he'll have no hangups on banging her if the boyfriend tags him in. That's not at all mutually exclusive with the 'mr steal yo girl' type; what starts as a amicable threesome could end with him trying to hog her. Putting the whole "sharing" thing in its own category is an f95 construct, no more.

Furthermore, is Clem even on a gossip-talking basis with Nate? It wouldn't surprise me - but that's implicit in the scenario TonyMurray listed, which isn't necessarily a given in game. Clem has clearly tried to hide and downplay her relationship/proximity to Santini and the others; so if Nate did go this blackmail route it'd pretty much break things wide open. Keep in mind - the only concrete leverage Nate has over them was catching Luke and Claire spying in the closet, the cheating stuff is all theory.

It's definitely danced the line at many points between more of an ntr focus and not, on one hand Luke is almost always aware much to the frustration of ntr purists, on the other hand there's simply too many sneering old men and lechers to make it feel like an amicable swinging game.

Obviously the fucking is the serious one, just being caught spying doesn't give as much to hold over Luke in terms of blackmail (IMO). But he could still insinuate (or outright lie) to Kathryn to try and get her to cheat on Luke with him, or tell Luke that he'll lie to Kathryn, in order to get his way with Kathryn with Luke's (coerced) blessing.

You both are correct - my mistake - it's dependent on the player's choice to cop a feel on Claire or not; I always didn't, so that was my frame of reference.

But do consider the implications of that. That would make Nate banging Kath during his visit hinged on that single interaction with Claire. You could be right, but that's a lot of potential renders and event action to gatekeep for the whole playerbase on a single interaction....

Agreed we dont know how much lying will be done - but those what ifs can go on forever. I'm leaving my wager here to refer back to at next release; I think the most likely outcome will either be: Starts as showing clothes, then turns into Nate feeling her up and banging her with Luke as voyeur, OR starts as MMF threesome, but veers into slight ntr territory when Nate gets too into it. I think Luke's horniness will play a far bigger role than any blackmail plot.

While the blackmail/Luke pass out stuff is possible I'm wagering it's the least likely.

I don't think it will be a gatekeeping moment, just one that will make things easier (for Nate). Whether you fucked Claire and got caught or not, I still think Nate will (if allowed by the player) end up fucking Kathryn - or at least doing some other stuff, BJ etc. Personally, with how things have gone on that particular path so far, I can't see them not fucking - it just wouldn't fit in with how far we've come on that path, especially if you didn't say "no" at any point during the gloryhole scene.
