I love rudeness! This is the sexiest thing in games: Especially in moments like when Mike roughly fucked Angelica! And in general when men roughly dominate women, showing them what sluts they are on the path to corruption. For me, these are the best moments when girls provoke their bitchy behavior to be roughly fucked.

Yeah without the option for her to leave at that stage you may as well of killed the relationshipI completely agree with your statement. Having one update lean into NTR vibes is tolerable if it stays rare, but forcing Kat to stay behind with Pat while Luke was made to leave alone completely crosses the line into character assassination.
Here s my take, in my own words, because this whole sequence on the pure/loyal path has been driving me insane:
Even though nothing physical happened, the way every single scene is framed screams that Kat cheated emotionally. Why did she let Luke drive off alone into a "storm"? Why didn t she immediately go with him? Most importantly....why the hell was there no player choice like "Leave with Luke" or "Stay with Pat"? What loving girlfriend in her right mind ditches her boyfriend after a huge fight and spends the night with some creepy old fart? We re talking 60–100 miles from New Jersey back to NYC depending on the exact spot...did Luke take a taxi, a train, or what? Pat s driving an SUV through pouring rain…so what?!? With these kind of Cars you can drive through Tornado Season and the Car wouldn t even blink...but a little rain...and he has to stop the Car?!?! Yeah! Right!
Then the motel: what was even the point of the "Pat spies on her in the shower" choice if it changes nothing? Once they re at the motel, why doesn t she pick up the landline and call Luke, if her Cell is most likely dead? Every motel has a phone at the front desk at least! Why doesn t she insist on her own room? The next morning there s zero dialogue between them, no proper goodbye, nothing....and Kat just sits in the car looking depressed, sad and guilty even though (on MY path) she didn t actually do anything wrong (besides spending her night in a creepy motel for almost no reason). Question after question, and none of it makes sense for the loyal Kat we ve been building the entire game.
The whole sequence feels completely wrong and forced on the pure path. And don t even get me started on those creepy AI generated Scenes....whatever happened to the beautiful animated scenes we used to have? The magic is gone.
Like you said: give us the choice to leave with Luke, followed by a proper, loving, loyal only sex scene to make up for the fight (something the game has desperately needed lately anyway), and most of us would come running back. Until that rework happens, Kathryn s character feels ruined for a part of the fanbase, and a lot of us (me included) have zero motivation to keep playing.
This reminds me so much of the almost very beginning....that first shady photoshoot with Kat and that nutbag Nate… geez. Kat literally called Luke because Nate wanted to do topless shots. Bobby gave us a choice and we could deny the request… and then, just a few in-game minutes later, Kat was standing in front of the camera with her boobs barely covered… and her crotch exposed… and shortly after that (again with zero player choice) she was fully naked in front of the camera!! That wasn t hilarious – it was infuriating and illogical! Bobby never fixed that Scene!
Replayed the game multiple times and you are absolutely right, at no point in the game or choices or Kath's general demeanour is there an indication that Kath would have decided to stay with Pat instead of Luke. That is insane that the dev went with this aspect hardwired into the ending of the chapter.
The game has (had?) choices. If you were on the NTR path I'd understand. But forcing you to go through this scenario without having a say is irritating. I feel like the game is rapidly setting itself on the path of a boring, forced, drama game.
Is it just me or this game is starting to get the same critics TACOS got at the time? Anne fucking with husband's father, with him being a jerk (and the player not having a say); her converted in a cum dump, while his husband is a cuck, that got few options to fuck other women compared to the pool of options that she had.
Bobby should have put in the option for Kat to "document" the events with Pat and the old guy for Luke. Then it would no longer be cheating.

Sorry but I disagree. For ages now ntr fans demanded Kathryn cheat so sure put it in I don't care but it hurt her character when there wasn't an option to leave with Luke.--------------------
I understand where you're coming from and all, and I do think a possible Chapter v8.5 should be considered and done to polish up Chapter 8, and just thinking about this it would probably be a good idea. However, I believe Bobbyboy Productions did a great job overall. Granted, there are some MINOR hiccups, but overall he did a very good job. Is there room for improvement, of course there is as with anything in life.
I, like many other fans and supporters, appreciate Bobby's work and it is definitely good, which is one of the reasons I am happy to give my support for his VN works, as I been doing since The East Block came out.
I also don't think it will take more than 1 to 2 months to polish things up and make it better, but we will see if that even happens. As for character "assassination" Yeah, NO! That is so not the case at all, friend lol. Just understand when a movie is written and done, and finally released you will either like it or you will not, and even though there are choices in this VN Game like others out there, this is what it is... for now.

Many people, myself included, love The East Block and enjoyed Chapter 8 very much, so everyone has their own opinion and to each their own, which I respect. No VN is going to make everyone 100% happy all the time, and that's a fact.
With that said, I believe The East Block will only get better over time with many good things to come. Cheers!
