For me, if it's pretty obvious that Luke killed Pat but not conclusively proven, that would be a good outcome. Everyone would understand Luke's position on cheating and would think twice before betraying him again. Of course, I couldn't handle Luke cheating on Kath to begin with so I guess I'd never see this scene on my routes...Not sure I can get behind this unless there is a way to do it without Luke catching a Murder charge and Kathryn finding out. I can't do that do that to Kathryn making her sad and worry about us cause we are in jail not to mention what she would think of Luke.
As for all the comments about the lack of kissing between Kath and Pat; laugh at me if you must but kissing makes the whole thing a lot more intimate. Sex without kissing is just meaningless sex. No emotional commitment so no loose ends later. It's why some sex workers will do practically anything with you but won't kiss you. So I've heard. Research, you understand.
No kissing offers the writer more options later; the motel could just be a one-off or could develop into something more substantial.
