But it shouldn't have been a surprise. The dev showed that she was conflicted with doubts right from the start. I don't know if there even is a good wife path. I play this way because nobody really gets hurt (it's just ink), and it allows you to see and experience this type of life. I find it cringeworthy at times, like this last part. But what I see most is the emotions involved, especially the aftermath, after the heat has cooled off. This is epic stuff. If you can't separate the game from reality, then you shouldn't play, and I'm not trying to be mean about it. TBH, I thought about the ending after it was all over, and I was exhausted from struggling with it. But, after a while, I got over it and enjoyed the story. If you can't separate, I understand, and for your own good, don't torture yourself. It's cool. People are different.
