Thanks for dropping quick update on your status here and Welcome Back!

I don't know if you are still pushing the envelope with AI the way you were earlier this year, but I really enjoyed what you were sharing about the various AI programs and how well they could work together.

Good Luck and stay healthy while you work!
Thanks, Yeah I did enjoy it too. Regarding pushing the enveloppe with AI, well... I'm moving the game to 4k and near photorealistic. Life sucked for a few months but I greatly enjoy working on this again, everything has evolved a lot.

Sadly, art style oriented generation is dying, it's either photorealistic and anime where the best tools are, art style is more of a niche atm. On the other hand, I've found a way to generate 4k sprites in any pose, that always look the same rather easily. I can also do a bit of animation with it.

Since I'm changing the visuals by a lot I will propose a refund to my patron when the next update come out. It's understadable that they don't like this kind of change. 1691246115034.png

I've been able to create asset in very high quality, with a tons of details and very interesting zoom possibilities. The game will move to 4k but the archive size will be quite huge, do people care about the archive size or should I push the quality to the max ?

I agree - push the quality to the max and let your AVN shine! Once download size approaches 4+ GB, you might consider a way to import save data/decisions into part 2 of the AVN, then lock production of part 1 and start with part 2 (I used 4+ GB as a guide since the MEGA download size limit is 5 GB at a time - so this is an artificial constraint I'm using as a guide for the size of each part of the AVN).

Cheers! :coffee:

I suppose that, if it is possible, the best approach in that case is to have 2 different versions, one with the highest quality in terms of images and stuff, and the other one as a "standard" version with default resolution images. I have already seen some developers doing that with its games. But, again, don't know if that is possible in your case. I'm talking for me now, I'm kinda inclined to not download a game that is bigger than, let's say, 10 Gb, because it's really hard to download it using these most common mirrors without having a premium account, most times we get the annoying "exceeded bandwidth" error, so what's left is to rely on torrent mirrors, which is not always possible.
