Double post because i found this, though i dunno if it meant previous year or this year,so lets wait and see

The Eternal Feast recently changed both its development direction and team members. A new demo will be released in November, after which this page will be updated. You can check the game’s for info in the meantime!

I wish so, but AFAIK is now under the Seeds of Chaos devs...

It seems great games with nice art are cursed to abandonment :/
Most people underestimate how expensive high-quality art can be. Also, it ain't that easy to find skilled artists willing to draw hardcore pornography on a regular basis, and keeping them around long enough for consistency's sake is another matter altogether. I think it's a mistake to invest heavily on high-quality visuals early on, especially as an upstart indie developer; you won't have enough money for yourself, much less paying others for their work. Just look at TEF; how is this project sustainable with only 700$ a month? Yron Vol (the dev) realized this several months ago and that's why they switched priorities from art to text and story. With the budget they were getting (which was more than now), it just wasn't viable.

I don't know the Seeds of Chaos devs to know if this partnership is a good one or not but TEF has been stuck in development hell for a good while now, and not just because of their finances. Progress is about as slow as you can get, slow enough to make people wonder if the project has been abandoned several times now. Also, it's a very niche game, which doesn't help. Unless they start making more money, this is one of those games that will either turn into a pipe-dream or take literally forever to finish.

I mean Seeds of Chaos devs would be good ones, but what I was saying is they would focus on their project first (is a statement).
Maybe when they finish SoC would work on TEF (who knows?).

The statement from earlier indicates TEF underwent internal changes but... does that mean Venus Noir is taking over and "adopting" the game, switching people with their own, or that TEF is still an "independent" game, just with new people working on it now? Either way, it feels like things are going to change now, for better or worse. We don't know if the new people are going to remain true to TEF's original idea or wrap it around to make it more "popular".

All I know is that Venus Noir has carved its own niche and it's financially secure. If anyone could finish the game, they at least have the means. I'm aware they are already busy with two titles (Seeds of Chaos and Jessika's Curse) but if they could spare a few people to help move TEF along, that would be great.

EDIT: I just went back to see if I missed anything and it -does- look like Venus Noir took over TEF. Great! Maybe it will finally chug alone now.

Where are you guys getting this info. As far as I know they partnered with Venus Noire a long time ago (a year maybe?) and there was pretty much zero progress since then. Just an empty demo with a single room with nothing to do. Venus Noir never claimed they were taking over the project. If I remember correctly it was just that Venus Noir lead was friends with Yron Vol and offered to help here and there but YV would have to do the game by himself. They put Eternal Feast on their patreon as linked game as an attempt to give it more exposure and new patreons. Plus Seeds of Chaos is nowhere near completion so if you expect them to start working on this after that, don't expect it for another decade.

If TEF is an independent game then why is Venus Noir claiming it as part of their own repertoire of games? It's one thing to give a helping hand in terms of exposure, another is openly claiming other's game under their own banner. Also, the previous statement (about changing development direction, team members and having a demo by Nov) came directly from Venus Noir's main website. TEF used to have their own (I still remember it) but it has since then been replaced by it.

Yron Vol (assuming they still work on the game and haven't been replaced yet) may be the lead designer but everything screams they are working under Venus Noir now.

I never claimed it was a right or responsible thing to do to for Venus Noire to put it under its umbrella. As I understand it he just did a favor to friend hoping it would get traction but it didn't. Like I said I don't remember exactly what was happening, but I remember Yron Vol explaining his relationship with them and that was it. It's just some guys patreon, don't treat it as some company with legal team that would advise against irresponsible actions.

Regarding November demo, it was last year's November. Scroll down abit on Yron Vol patreon and you will see public roadmap they posted that was starting from November 2018 and upto May 2019. They missed all the milestones. I love the premise of this game and take no pleasure in denying its happening. Just trying to save you disappointment, don't get ur hopes up.

Would be nice if after Venus Noire is done with their current games they come back to work on this one. Of course if they have the funds to do so and if they even want to.

Venus Noire seems to be putting a lot of resources into Jessika's Curse and nothing into the Eternal Feast, which is a real shame considering Jessika's Curse looks really boring (and broken)...

Hmm I guess this project wont be continued? :(
All indications point to it - game has been stalled for over a year now though it was already struggling well before that. That is why it got tagged as "Abandoned", next to the title. The old developer seem to have jumped ship so TEF belongs to Venus Noir now and those are working on two other games; Jessika's Curse and Seeds of Chaos. If TEF is ever brought back (I wouldn't hold my breath on it) we're going to have to wait since those two have the "priority" right now.
