And the dossier? I want to read about the laws and customs and the different gods, you've gone and made an interesting world but i need me some exposition to sate my curiosity, who is Marduk? Can a priestess of Ishtar bone and get pregnant whilst in service or is that what Helen meant when saying the murdered priestess' time was up and she was going to start a family. Questions and more questions, i need materials man, feed my nerd brain all that your crafted world has to offer.
Edit: oof, if that ain't foreshadowing, Athagan heading off to the capitol, i hope he comes back cause i actually really like the dynamic of him being around, killing him off would be pretty cliche and so far i've found this story refreshing in many ways...

are you doing this VN on top of a full time job? i work a full time job but i been wanting to make my own VN for awhile now but it feels like im also to tired or stressed so i never get to start, i porbably should just pull the start trigger and see what i can get done.Lots of weed, but after I am done with my renders, it's not good for productivity, unless I am writing.
Seriously, there are several reasons why I produce content quite fast.
First, I settle for "good enough" when it comes to renders. I did get better with time, and more efficient, but I simply do not take the time to have the lighting just right for avery single render, moving the lights for every camera angle. I set up my scene and basta. I could do better, far better, but I would update 2 times less often.
Second: Few choices. Every fork add a lot of content. Most choices I have are about to skip content. The coding is also minimal. I planned it that way because I saw too many first-time dev burning themselves out, and I wanted to keep the scope manageable.
Third: Discipline. I work nearly every single day on the VN with a day's rest here and there. Not always a lot, but I try to do 20 renders a day minimum. Tired after work? I still render. Not in the mood? I still render. I treat it as a second job. People pay me to do it, I owe it to them to try as much as I can to be srious about it. I feel bad if I don't.
Fourth: Understanding GF. She is very supportive. The money coming in helps too, it does permit us to be more comfortable budget-wise. I got lucky with that one.
Fifth: I like doing it. Yes, it's a drag sometimes, that's normal, every dev has moments when they have enough of it. But, generally, I enjoy telling the story of TFS. I like the characters, the world, and giving them life. I found it fun.
Anyways, thanks for the compliment. It's actually very motivating seeing people enjoying the VN.
If you play both parts of the game thru Vanderer is very good at laying out everything. For example Helen discusses in detail the priestess role and their choice of a husband/family. Plus in game there is a codex,

Yeah, no doubt, a lot of the time if a girl is horny she doesn't need prep, but it certainly doesn't hurt and most girls need a bit of exterior attention to really get off. All that aside though, i was praising it cause it was Aoife's first time, i don't care how horny a girl is, first time's always greatly benefit from plenty of foreplay. Almost all the gods mentioned were actual Mesopotamian ones. The only exception AFAIK is Andolisa who neither I nor google know of.

Yep. Well, I reduced my hours slightly, because I didn't have any free time left and the support from my patrons allowed me to. It's more manageable having to work only 30h/week now.
But yeah, at first it was very time-consuming, the VN eats all your other hobbies. But, in my case, it paid off. I probably never stop my day-job, because patreon is not something you can rely 100% on.
For me, it was like you said, just starting doing it. Scrapped my two first projects, one with 700 renders, because they were not good enough. But yeah, you need to start and then persevere.
Yeah, I need to expand the codex, I know. I just prioritize new content.

Priesstesses can get pregnant while in service, but they very rarely do. If they were to get pregnant before their ward is formed, well, it's wasted. Pristesses quit the service of Ishater when their wards are formed, and marry. They are very prized wives, and generally marry into the nobility, or into very rich families..

ward is like a magical shield(the ishtar priestesses just have one for their womb to protect against a worldwide demonic curse to inhibit pregnancy), the game will explain a lot more and the codex is there to buffer some background stuff & things they find common knowledge in their world (like which gods represent what)
