There's a fatal error in the transition from part7 to part8, in the KN version, at least.
You get a fatal error screen (ScriptError: could not find label 'remember2_kn'.) near the end of p7, and p8 is never seen.
This was a fresh start in v0.8.0 and CTRL-skipping to the middle of part 7, but all my saves do the same thing.
I did a console jump to the label "tfss_p8_kn" so I could see what was there. (It did look good.)
That said, I also put in a previous i-patch that simply sets a... certain variable... to "True", and I think may be part of the cause?
EDIT: The above looks more likely, since I apparently did this once before and you told me then, that this was the problem; that variable was set to "True" in all my saves. I'll remove the patch and start fresh again.

If you have played the supported version, you will need to replay the entire game as that content is no longer available.
So don't use any of the saved games you have, because you'll get this error.

The Narrator That was the issue, as soon as I removed the patch and started fresh, it went to the end of P8 as it should have. Thanks for the info.
A couple things I noticed, though...
1) There's still a few places in-game where someone calls the MC by their default name (Jack) instead of the chosen custom name. As well, the MC calls Elizabeth by name a lot, rather than calling her by the defined relationship tag.
2) The gallery is broken, none of the scenes will unlock.
(Those are minor things, though; I still like the game!)

You must have something else going on if no renpy games are launching , never had a problem with this one or any others check your settings and permissions

I dont speak English as a first language but to quote me "only renpy game that does not" meaning this is the only renpy game that does not work. As I stated every other renpy game has worked as in about 4000 of them

oh okay I don't know then I have never had a problem with this one launching , but I'm just getting ready to play 0.08 as I haven't yet-- Edit just started it loaded up fine so just don't know
