Love the game so far. Love that you focused on the mechanics first. Personally think its really annoying when your just sat around waiting for a core mechanic of a game to get added in.
I've played since the first release and all the bugs that I found have been fixed immediately which is so good.
Couple of suggestions? Perhaps with the pregnancies if their intended to be a negative effect which I think they are since it limits where you can work maybe over time with multiple pregnancies there should be some type of permanent effect on the body so like stretched stomach, sagging tits, darker nipples that kind of thing?
The body amputation thing sounds interesting ngl never seen that type of thing before definitely interested to see how you implement that. Sounds difficult though since you'd have to separate out every limb into a separate image layer.
I plan to add things like stomach muscle definition and some shading to show you are cubby and not in early pregnancy. Stretch marks is something that could easily be made at the same time. Nipples are already planned for when I add the ability to colour them. Getting darker the more heavily pregnant you are (do they stay ark after birth in real life?)
Saggy breasts, although one of those things that can be nice especially if reversible by the surgeon, will probably never make it high enough on the to do list to get done. I wont rule it out though, especially if there is demand for it.
And the limbs are already separate, that's why I thought of it. It wasn't something I had planned, just a thought I had when seeing it. Both the right arm and left arm have their layer chopped just above the elbow and the rest of the arm on a new layer on top for the different poses. You can see the poses best when in the pub holding a beer in each hand. (it's also why so few tops have sleeves since I need to draw sleeves for all poses)
The premise left me with high hopes that the game will allow some fun stuff with the protagonist body, amputation included (not guro per se though, I don't enjoy that... don't wanna see blood and entrails everywhere on a porn game).
For example a fetish that I see sometimes one thing or another around internet but never seen a game featuring it majorly (except freecities I guess) is some situation where the protagonist ends without limbs and thus extremely vulnerable.
Right now the writing is unclear on what the protagonist body actually is, but you could move into the direction that it is some sort of biological robot, the core is "real", thus being pregnant and whatnot has real consequences, but limbs for example (better if unknowingly to the protagonist at first) could be removed, re-attached, and even controlled remotely, maybe the "falling apart" they mention on the prologue could be this, some failure on the protagonist body cause her to lose her limbs in a dangerous situation, and later the institute could use it to enforce their will: "if you disobey we will just remote-control your legs and make you walk to us" or "if you keep fighting us openly we will take away your arms".
But that is just me throwing ideas out there, so far I am enjoying the game.
Even if I go the dark route, guro and vore is something that will not make it in. It is just something I couldn't bring myself to write or draw.
The body is kinda vague on purpose so I can basically just do what I want. While things making sense is of course great, sometimes sacrifices need to be made in the name of fun. So regrow and arm? Sure, why not? One month pregnancies, go ahead. Give birth to a litter of pups? Err what...? This allows me to add a lot of fun stuff that other games may only get away with using a cheat menu.
Also, being the type of game this is it might sound strange. But I don't want Sammy to be so vulnerable. While she might encounter some bad situations right now, they are all situations of her own making to some degree. But mind control is something she couldn't possibly avoid even if she locked herself at home every day. She should be punished because of her decisions, not just punished because.
There isn't a lot that you didn't spoke about here, but I found some code about condoms, preg-pills (not 100% effective tho), the notes about the flatmates and the events expected about them, or an intro scene about the accident and a male friend in the car
There is also mentions of a lake or a community center (that you didn't seem to be very fond of), or events in the highway (with homeless people and sleep there if you're one too, or motels events, like sleeping in or seeing prostitutes)
I might have missed or forgotten quite a lot, I was looking for something in particular (I found it), but that was quite interesting to dive in a game code like that
I forgot about the planned male friend, brings back memories. Wanted him to be the typical "You are in a girls body now, lets do naughty things". But it just felt too lame.
Lake will make an appearance though. I am looking forward to this as it will be sun, small bikinis and lots of sexy situations.
One thing I always appreciate in games similar to this, and what I don't yet see in the roadmap, are perks & traits. Especially the kind you pick up along the way by doing something a lot or by experiencing something significant. These could be all sorts of kinks like exhibitionism, pregnancy, bondage, masochism and submission. And their effects could be anything from changing stat loss/gain amounts to increasing the odds of certain events happening or losing control when appropriate opportunity presents itself. A simple example could be Sammy automatically agreeing to selling her panties if propositioned as exhibitionist with at least some amount of confidence - or maybe not even wearing any in the first place. Or simply gaining a confidence(and probably arousal) boost if wearing no underwear.
Just throwing ideas out there. Feel free to use any, or none, as it pleases you.
Perks are something I have very undecided thoughts on. They are cool no doubt and help you better role play the character you want to be. But almost every game I have played that has perks, they are used so rarely or in very specific situations that they seem a waste of development time. I had some early concepts of them to cover a wide range of situations so that they feel valuable, but because I couldn't come up with concrete ideas they kept getting forgotten about.
I also felt that most of my ideas ended up punishing the player. Instead of giving them more options, it narrowed them. Exhibitionism for example. Will you need to have this perk to not wear pants? That's a limit for those with and without the perk, forcing you to wear or not wear pants. If it's just a lust gain when not wearing, then it's not really worth it.
Basically for me to add it. I need to think of an idea that rewards the player for having it, does not punish the player for not having it while also being significant enough to justify the time it would take to add it in.
Right now I am waiting to see where the game goes before revisiting the idea and seeing what kind of perks will improve the game experience. But I am open to ideas as it is something I would like to see in.
