The translation patch I used created some issues. I started the event in the game without translation, saved immediately, and reloaded the translated version.
So, is the "Broken" trait permanent? Isn't it possible to "cure" it somehow, or over time?
Is Haven the last mission in the main quest? For now?
I have a few general questions (and I suspect something else might be broken by the translation):
1) Oskar allowed me to clean. After a while, he asked me to get a more suitable outfit if I wanted to clean the apartment building again. Which outfit should I get?
2) How do I unlock the flyer delivery job? I've been told about it, but I haven't unlocked it. Is this also broken by the translation? Am I doing something wrong? Or is this content not yet implemented?
3) Does Sam have to be pregnant to sell milk? Or can I make Sam produce milk with the cube-shaped consumable even if she's not pregnant? And what about the cow costume? Is it useful for something? Is there a function (promoter girl job?) or is it just cosmetic?
4) Sandy at the lake says I can sell him shells, but I haven't unlocked that feature yet. I can only buy costumes. Is this also broken by translation?
5) What happens if Sam gets pregnant? Does she have to raise the baby or is it given to someone else? Like they say in a lesson at school.
6) Who can I sell the magazines I find lying around? None of the merchants I've unlocked accept them!
1) You need the maid outfit. You can buy it from the motel at the truck stop but it is extremely expensive. At the school there is a back corridor, in one room off these there are two weird girls, who after a couple of conversations will sell clothes, they sometimes have piece of the maid outfit, and if you hang round the market, the clothes vendors also sometimes have pieces which may or may not be discounted. TLDR; if you want it quick just buy it from the motel, but it is costly.
2) The flyer job is at the market, you should get an option to ask for work, this is it. I can't answer the question about the patch breaking the game, since I've never used it, so maybe?
3) No, you can find a drug (milk tab I think it is called), and it does indeed look like a sugar cube, if you take it you will start to lactate, you will continue to do so as long as you keep milking yourself, or until you take another milk tab. The cow outfit doesn't appear to have any special benefit, but maybe some people like to milk themselves while wearing I suppose? *shrug*
4) You can find shells by the beach, but first you have to visit the junkyard and learn the scavaging skill, then you will find shell, broken jewelry and sometimes pieces of clothing or drugs, while scaving the beach, you can scavage elsewhere, but to the best of my knowledge you only get shells from the lakeside. The Drugs are pretty valuable you can sell them to a vender at the far end of the truckstop in the afternoon (I think it 3pm or later), the abortion pill is particularly valuable.
5) You cannot keep the baby, in the lore of the game you have to be married and have a breeding licence and conception has to happen AFTER you have the licence otherwise the state takes the baby away shortly after birth. I very much doubt this will ever change, as handling family dynamics within a sandbox game would be a literally nightmare to design and code (although NOT impossible)
6) Jaylee, the girl who teaches you the scaving skill at the junkyard will buy them off you, but you will need to sell a fair bit of regular junk to her brother Ashton, before she become available, then she will hang out by her storage container, it won't be super obvious, but above the talk icon, once you get friendly enough there should be an arrow which will give you three options, talk, buy or sell, you can sell the magazines to her. She is a quite valuable character to get friendly with because she often sells a butt plug, if you insert it, you can lie on your bed and frigg yourself stupid which both makes you happy and raises confidence, and best of all, it hardly takes any time or uses any energy.
Broken is indeed permanent unles you cheat. Although it would cool if you could talk to the headshrinker (Dr Booker?) at the insitute and work through some of your emtional problems.
