The NLT cinematic universe expands once again and again with a banger. This time rather than adventure genre, it's a detective genre. As a huge fan of detective stories, this speaks right to my heart. I absolutely love it. I will say though of something that NLT missed the mark on at least twice in this.

These misplaced actions don't detract from the overall gameplay, but I felt it worth mentioning because NLT have proven their quality of work so the standards are set really high.

    The Worst NLT Game.

The girls are bland and yet this is suppose to be the most "diverse" NLT game to date but yet none of the "PoC" women look as hot as Naomi did in ToN and lets not even talk about the rest of them, they really can't even compare to Diana and Clare.

Didn't care about the story or the grinding. The story is more of the same without the theme of ToN or the atmosphere of LE and why the hell is a detective grinding for artifacts? Shouldn't you make money in this game by saving random people from crime?

1 star review because as a long time NLT enjoyer and someone who has played LE and ToN multiple times i just can't bring myself to play this game for longer then an hour.

Story...sigh...why I had to rank this so low. The concept is great, but I can't get with the writing. It was ok with the prequels, but the MC sharing any and all info with anybody and everybody for no good reason makes no sense especially because of his job. It's a huge contradiction.

Oh well, at least it looks great. I don't know of anything else that comes close. apart from the weird unnatural postures of the MC, especially when he's surprised. Jarring to me.

But I want to see the end of this whole saga so...onward :cautious:

Review for The Genesis Order v.83072.

I've been playing The Genesis Order since the initial release. I played both of the developer's previous games in the series and it's obvious that the developer continues to improve on them. I find The Genesis Order to be better than the previous game in the series (ToN) in all respects except one: originality--which you'd expect because it's a sequel. The Genesis Order might be the closest thing to an AAA title in the adult gaming world, but that's not really saying much, and what really holds it back is the use of the utterly garbage RPGM engine.

Story: 3/5 - The story is OK. The MC is a police detective and there are way too many WTFs in how policework is done in the game's universe. It might be an attempt at humor, but if so, it's a poor attempt. Being the 3rd game in a series, the story revolves around a young and dumb MC, money is earned from finding ancient artifacts, and the game is somewhat predictable. Unfortunately, when the game got into the v.7xxxx, the supernatural aspects of the story and especially the scenes started to become cringy.

Sound: 4/5 - The game has a small amount of voice acting for the MC and some other characters. What's there is good, but there's just very little of it. Going by the previous games, there is no intention to add full voice acting, so I don't really understand the reasoning behind just doing so little. Maybe it adds immersion for the players to know what the character voices are supposed to sound like even though 99% of the time players have to read text instead of listening to voices. There are also other sound effects in the game. Most are good but some are a little too arcade-game-like. At least the sound that plays when finding an artifact in Treasure of Nadia was changed to be much less annoying in The Genesis Order. The moans during the Lewd scenes are well done, and I like that they can be disabled.

Visuals: 4.5/5 - The visuals during events are outstanding. Excellent renders and animations. The models are beautiful. Probably the only downside is that the both the level of detail and the actual resolution of the renders is low. I suspect this is intentional to speed up development time and/or reduce game size. The visuals during free-roaming aren't great, but they are better than any other RPGM game I've ever seen, especially given that most RPGM games have graphics that look like 1980's era arcade games.

Gameplay: 3/5 - I am not a fan of RPGM at all, but this is by far the best RPGM game I've ever played, including first two games in the series. That doesn't mean gameplay is good, though. The gameplay seems to be targeted at pre-adolescent console-monkeys. On the upside, the developer created a user interface that is excellent compared to the default user interface of RPGM games, which is complete garbage and appears to be designed for console game controllers.

    - The gameplay where players navigate the MC through the game world looks like it was designed to appeal to kids. All RPGM games I've ever seen are like this and in my opinion, RPGM just isn't an appropriate game engine for adult games.

    - The puzzles are sometimes just stupid. For example, in one update, the MC needed to find a chisel to break through a rock wall. Where did he find the chisel? On the roof, of course! WTF? Then, the chisel broke and he had to find another, and then another. The other two chisels were also on the roofs of random buildings. Seriously WTF? Wouldn't a normal person go to a place where they are likely to find tools, like a barn, a garage, or a store? Another example is finding 3 old books and some mystical essence and using them to craft a "seed" that the MC eats to make himself smarter. WTF? It's more stupidity that appears to be targeted at children.

    - Earning money is another WTF. There are a few ways to acquire money. One is to just randomly find money on the ground, but the frequency and amounts the player can find make this method pointless. Another way is to play basketball in the gymnasium in the Police Station. This method is also pointless because so little money is earned, not to mention the WTF factor of who actually pays you. The only practical way to earn money is to roam the forest areas looking for artifacts to sell to the shady guy at the Warehouse. Doing this is grindy, but so far, players don't need that much money, as at least half of the money players need to purchase everything available is found through playing the game, so the grind is fairly low if players aren't trying to earn more money than they can actually spend. Strangely, the MC has a job as a police detective but apparently, he doesn't earn any money from it.

Content: 5/5 - There's a lot of content in terms of events, scenes, and dialogue. The developer releases updates twice per month and each release typically contains 3 new lewd scenes and about 20 minutes of gameplay. I'm not aware of any other adult game that has such frequent releases or as much content. It's impressive.

Robustness/bugs: 4/5 - It's impressive that I never encountered any real bugs. The only thing I remember was that in early updates, artifacts would frequently appear in the forest in locations that weren't reachable. E.g., near some of the boulders that blocked the pathway. Clicking on the artifact would result in the dialogue that normally occurred when clicking on the boulder, making the artifact unreachable. However, I've seen many verified reports of other players encountering game-breaking bugs, so I know there have been some more serious bugs, I just never encountered any.

Overall, this game is advancing adult gaming more than any other game. Again, that's not saying much, but hopefully, it will motivate others to take the next step to bring adult gaming up to the standards of modern games in general.

NLTs game series is just about the closest thing we get to "AA" games in the adult gaming world. There's clearly a shitload of work going into these games, the renders and animations, and it absolutely shows.

On the other hand, to make these appeal to as many potential customers as possible, they absolutely can not take any risks in any way, shape or form.
So with each iteration the games get more vanilla and "safe", and the stories less exciting.
Particularly in the case of this game, as it seems to have a VERY similar setting and buildup to the game that came before it, Treasure of Nadia.
As in Treasure of Nadia, the engine is RPGM again, no matter how outdated and primitive it is. But it makes for easy design of grindy side content to pad play time, of which there is again plenty in this release.

Again, I cannot fault the craftsmanship and work ethics of NLT. Quality and release schedule are more than on point, many other developers could learn from this. It's just the formula that's getting uncomfortably stale for my taste.

People who loved the previous game and are in the market for "more of the same" will definitely enjoy the hell out of this.

By far the most consistently high quality content project on this website. How do they do it? Others need 10 times the time these guys do for a lackluster update, here anything but an absolute banger is the exception.

As always, NLT is the most consistent, highest-quality dev in the WEG business. I've been a fan of previous games from them, and this seems to be more of the same (in the best way). I really enjoy the new character models, and appreciate that they are somewhat more varied than before. In terms of things that are specific to this game: the setting is particularly evocative and atmospheric. I am a bit of a mystery obsessive, so being a detective is also hugely exciting from a story perspective.

I can't believe this gem in making is getting less than 4 stars.
It has a story, it has visuals, it has sounds for those who care about them, and it is decent as a game. Definitely a worthy successor to The Treasure of Nadia.

This is an awesome game from NLT, as usual. Really can't understand the bad reviews. I guess now that it's 30% completed people are beginning to calm down a little. Anyway, yes, there's nothing new and no, there isn't incest, but the incest in ToN really wasn't the hottest part of the game. I mean what's the difference between having a "mother character" that's a guardian figure or a stepmom and a biological mother in a porn game? Who cares? This is mostly the same fantasy anyway

The Genesis Order (v 63022) is a decent game, in general an improvement in most senses to the prequel Treasure of Nadia. But, as it stands, it shares part of its mistakes, mostly a story in which the player has no agency nor choices, just goes on advancing linearly with no personal imput. A story that, as it progresses, starts making less and less sense and loses all interest. That means it's not actually a sandbox, though it does have some such elements, but mostly it seems like a classic adventure with puzzles and similair things, like Monkey Island and similair games. Though a lot of mechanics and character ideas are very directly taken from Treasure of Nadia, like the ancient artifacts and the rebuilding the home and so on, they do work decently well. And others, like the new crafting system, are clearly an improvement on what existed before and some others are improved like the help guides.

As far as production values go, this game is top tier. Very detailed character models, tons of animations with some even for non-sexual things. Music is decent but the occasional voice acting breaks immersion for me because its always the same lines. The game also seems to lack bugs, at least in my experience.

So, all in all, a decent game that, like Treasure of Nadia before, start losing interest for me as time goes on.

This game is awesome, really loving it. I beat the first 2 games in the series and I can absolutely say this is a masterpiece! I love that there's returning characters and I can't wait to see Duncan get his!

A very original implementation of the game with a single recognizable type of graphics and a linear but very interesting plot. Each time I look forward to the next update as in previous games.
    Highly recommended!

I actually got a bit bored with this game since it now pretty much tells you to go 'grind' for 'artefacts', since you need the money to tackle a story-quest. It's like a pay-wall with in-game currency. ;)

All joking aside: this game has some good animations, the story has some interesting depth to it since it builds on the earlier games. But after all the earlier games the formula has become stale: running all over the place trying to find, almost completely random spawned items and ingredients for the crafting system. I'd say it has become worse then the previous games.
There is some greater and longer animations and the game banks heavily on that (as it should)

If you want more of the same then this game provides, but it has no improvements on that formula. I would argue that it doesn't hold up: the sound and moans feel out of place and disjointed some of the time. The game makes items even more random to find then earlier games, making it a chore to visit all locations in game if you want to find out for yourself and not rely on the built-in hint manual (I hate those, it is implemented to combat sloppy game design)
And then there is 'the sex': same old MC with monster cock and always the same, boring, pull-out game when it comes to pussy fucking...yeah how about something different.

Tl:dr: the game isn't bad, but it has nothing new to offer, just a bit more 'grind', not so much in the 'rubbing-bodies-together' kinda way as it is into the go-grab-5-bear-asses.

    What can I say?
NLT game, excellent animation and character models, this is what NLT does best.
Hope to see more excellent animation in the future.
The script has shortcomings, but it is not the focus of this game.
    I will always support NLT.

even just over half completed this game is an improvement in the right direction I, noticed the storyline is in depth without being overwhelming too.

the characters look awesome as well, the trailer was something else really pulled me into the game itself.

The Genesis Order [v.29061] great graphic, good storyline, nice animation tbh this is the best adult game i've ever seen. I glad that the MC not so powerful and not so weak either. And more than anything, it was filled with affection.

While visually the game is good it's also quite boring. None of the women are really exciting. There is just no sexual tension. The game goes from zero to full sex in seconds. The previous game "Treasure of Nadia" had hotter girls, better MC, was funny and had some adventure feeling. Also the relation MOD worked much better in ToN. Here it's just not convincing.

I think of this game like Top Gun: Maverick or The Force Awakens. Did you like the previous thing that was a genre classic (Top Gun/ Star Wars/ Treasure of Nadia)? Well, we're gonna run back an almost exact copy.

Are some going to knock it for not being different or not being exactly what they want? Of course. But in a genre filled with millkers, lazy and excuse riddled devs, where deadlines are blown past with comical regularity, it seems disingenuous to give anything other than five stars. The game has top notch (if duplicative) gameplay and top notch (if a little samey) animation, and is delivered every two weeks with clock-like reliability.

Excellent as their other NLT Games.
Models : 8/10. Excellent work with the character rendering
Story : 10/10. Like how the story unfolds with each update, The trill of the story has me awed .
    Game-play : 10/10.
    Graphics : 10/10.
Can't wait to see how it unfolds .

So far this installment doesn't seem as interesting as NLT's previous games. The characters are all a little boring and vanilla. ToN had some new gameplay mechanics that changed things up a bit, but TGO cribs pretty much all of it and I'm a little tired of those mechanics to be honest.

All in all, it's very competently executed, but also pretty boring to actually play. Which is not really something you want out of a lewd game.
