Thinking about my different experiences when playing TON and TGO - I’ll use chests as an example.
I discovered TON (and LE) after they had been released so played it as a full game. As I explored I would encounter chests for which I didn’t have the keys - in fact there would be more chests than keys because some keys could only be discovered later in the game.
But I played TGO as each update was released which made chests easy, because typically each update would introduce one new chest and one new key.
In fact I am certain that chests simply appeared in places that had already been explored - as an example, take the chest in the last update - I found it with the bed clue (what delayed me was that I didn’t realise that you could enter the mansion without triggering the final scene - because I realised I was clicked on Judy when I was trying to click on the door). But the point is, we had been that bedroom before and there was chest then - it had appeared in this update.
It will be interesting to see when playing the complete TGO, that chest will be visible the very first time you enter that room.
Also in TON, a chest key would open any chest, there was this idea of ‘this key for this chest’ that you get from playing updates - I assume it will the same with TGO.

Part way through the sequence after returning Henry and the Soul Crystl (right after when Duncan pulls his gun) it starts an animation and it freezes...I am playing on a Mac and tried both the compressed update and compressed full version. Anyone seen this?

Compared to TON this game is a total mess. The writing is just horrible and the ending couldn't be more anticlimactic. Animations are great but the characters just don't feel connected at all. It's just sex for the sake of sex.

From LE to TGO, the quality of sex scenes increase but story writing is duller every time. Gameplay basically doesn't change (though no one really care about that in porn game)
The angelcraft got a lot easier in TGO then in LE. So the irritating parts in the LE got fixed...
But yeh, originality in LE is higher because of new game of course...
Looks like all the next updates from 84% on will be 1% so the game should have 16 bonus updates before the new game launches! So based on two updates a month in theory the new game should launch on 15th April 2024! And THAT is a LOT of bonus content to go and a LONG wait before the new game begins. 
I think it's not just because it is the first game. LE settings is just 1 big mansion which forced the designers to go the extra length of structuring exploration into parts with keys to open new areas as well as revisiting/altering old areas with new twists. This, in turn, give us more satisfaction as we scan the maps for items and events.
TON and TGO maps are too open, scanning become such an tedious task which most of the time we got bored and search for video walkthough. It feel as if the dev just throw items at random places and it's not fun.
I can sit throw the whole LE game without any help but who can play TON and TGO without consulting Evie/the Oracle?

It feels like NLT is kinda at an dead end in terms of gameplay/story and his games became more and more repetitive for me at least.
His story ideas are kinda cool, but after a while it gets really dull and it is just some "throw girls at the MC up to an orgy, for no reason".
Animations improved a lot and I like the regular updates, I also liked the setting of TGO but I really hope his next game isn't just the same shit again just with a different MC & girls.

And yet, instead of making something new they are doing it again and i can't believe it. Another two years of the same shit we have been getting. The next game will probably have even less fans then TGO had but that's what happens when you keep releasing the same stuff over and over again.
I remember when they said TGO was going to be the last game in the series, well that was a lie.
