He’s at least a good guy and treats woman well in my opinion (when he’s not “accidentally” spying on them ).I get the following error every time I finish the initial cutscene. Failed to load img/characters/$NPC-Female Business Long Hair 1 Idle@(28).png. I looked in the folder and the file is there. What can I do to fix this so i can actually play the game?

.png is compressed version failing at life. Stop using it, get a better version, get the normal build
Try the low quality video option. Get a better PC/codec. Stop using a phone

The only sure way that this will work onward is that you learn how to create compressed versions yourself and do it from the full versions released from the OP... but lemme guess this is not an option right ?
I did download the normal build from here (megafile) unless there is a different download option I am unaware of here. I am using it from my PC. Also, I get the same error trying the game on low quality. What is a better codec i could download to play the game? Hopefully that will fix the issue that I seem to be having!

Some things don't work in that reply : normal build doesn't use .png, so you can't have that error. Low video codec doesn't change that your version is a wonky compressed build made by some random dude who probably failed at it, it only plays low quality pre-rendered scenes.
You also missed the fact that in my reply there's 2 dudes at once being quoted (you and another), what I say to 1 has nothing to do with the other (you got a compressed build problem, he has low video quality) .........

Nope... files might get corrupted but they don't get decrypted
Mixed it with a ( base ) compressed Correct... same as before mix of base compy and the normal UO... genius move
As far as Madlad goes... isn't that right what I wrote ?
That is the only safe way onward... never said ( or let's be honest I don't have such wet dreams ) that they could do it !?!

Some how I missed the chest in the attic of the church. Now the priest will not let me go into the room to get the stairs to the attic. Is there a different way to the attic than thru the main room of the church?

Wrong.
The "Faild to load: xxx.png" error message appears whenever the engine can't find an image either due to many sub-folders, file missing/corrupted or wrong naming. It doesn't matter if you use the decrypt (.png) or encrypt version (.rpgmvp).
You can easily test it by moving all images from the "pictures" folder into a subfolder and run the game.
Hopefully this clears up the misunderstanding when it comes to above error message.

Areas are never locked down for long.
dunno why NTL makes such a big deal about items and money, i really don't want to grind getting money on the forest, i had enough with ToN and still makes the same formula.

I think maybe particular steps I take while playing through update triggered some item destined to be found or made available for purchase in future update to appear prematurely; in the inventory "Control the Weather" artefact looks like a book! Perhaps some quirk or bug in the code caused this oddity to happen. Code and dialogue has errors definitely as people say although when Hannah call MC "Dad" is not wrong but example of sarcasm with Hannah teasing that MC is like disapproving gruff older man rather than young man although when Carol calls William "Dad" is a mistake for sure because makes no sense in context whatsoever. Based on Carol Ray drawl word "Dad" should have been "Dang" I say going out on a limb inferentially.
In ToN long ago Tasha say that both she and her mother were involved in crime, theft as I remember, were arrested by police and that she was released but mother sent to prison. Mother was actual leader of gang and eventually escape from jail somehow and continue underworld life: Tasha move to Cape Vedra to get away from mother, gang members, old associates, begin new life and say she not see mom for years. I say Tasha daughter of Nellie long past!

But why was Nellie released from police station, as she predict would happen, so quickly after arrest I ask?
Three possibilities occur.
(1) Nellie is police informant within Eclipse Guild and when arrested was sprung by orders given by upper echelon of police/Interpol/FBI or maybe locally by Commissioner Andrea, say, in order to allow her to keep North Santiva police force aware of Eclipse Guild activity. Maybe Nellie never really escaped from jail at all but cut deal to be informant with authorities and was set free to pretend broke jail and return to Eclipse Guild with cover story.
(2) Nellie is still committed member of Eclipse Guild and someone high up in the police, personally involved with Eclipse Guild, sprung Nellie based on personal authority. Could curvaceous oriental Andrea Kimura be on payroll of the Eclipse Guild accepting bribes and other monies for assist provide? I notice Andrea home is very big, luxurious and well appointed for working lady on police salary, even someone in high and responsible position like Commissioner Kimura.
(3) Something else, e.g., Nellie is dangerously playing both sides, one against the other, to advance her own agenda and garner personal advantage.
