For anyone playing on controller like me, or just find it hard/hate the "Darkness" mechanic in the Police Station, I made a quick mod that turns the lights back on (removes Black layer). This should work on every future Darkness mechanic as well.

As far as I remember the files are encrypted in that folder and so I think the file you want is GUI-ITEM-Mace attached in the zip file below. This may not fix the issue. Often one error like this means other errors probably follow.
