Yes. What you suggest absolutely could be the case depending where TGO picks up after ToN. I was assuming no delay between the end of ToN and beginning of TGO but if there were a big enough hiatus - several months say - something along those lines could well be possible. In fact I remember at the beginning of TGO newsreader Kimberley Foxx banging on about Eclipse Guild arrests AND a "sex virus" on Channel 4 TV, although based on what she said it's impossible to tell whether she refers to a local event or much bigger incident, possibly a national even international rapidly expanding contagion.Exactly and if you remember Jessica ( I think, I'm not 100% sure) said that she hoped no one of them wasn't in contact whit anyone during the moments they were under the influence of the serum or else it would have spread like a virus, now I'm sure ( of course I can be wrong, we have to wait) that it's what happened, one of them infected someone during the race to Jessica's lab and the virus was born.
It's not necessary that a Cape Vedra resident went to NS, it's sufficient for the virus to become pandemic after a mutation, and the news in TGO said exactly that.

Oh, well, fingers crossed for coherent explanations in respect to such questions over the next couple of years as TGO evolves. At least TGO gives intelligent players something to think about and mull over which is as unusual as it is good for a lewd game and I appreciate the developers taking the trouble.

I'm here struggling to render a one-character picture and get the lights right and these mfs are doing this shit.

Jokes apart yes, the fact that you can chat and think about the solutions that the dev may have planned is definitely interesting per se, it mean it's not a simple fap & go games, but something more.
And for the possible real answer well, maybe the serum created by Emily was more effective than making the user only super horny, but it changed is body to a level that it became and infectious agent, with pretty much every body fluid with an accelerated infective speed rate, so while they were in that state before they went to Jessica's lab they were able to infect other people.
Or as DD69-1 correctly wrote, this is something bigger and Maybe even Amanda Bancroft can be involved, let's say that trying to creating a new more efficient and power formula an accident occurred in the labs, creating an infectious agent by mistake.
The sex virus, just pure speculation at this point for me.

I agree, but compare it with Apocalust (OK, this game will probably never release, but still.) Or with Timestamps.
Nevertheless, I must admit that NLT have nice animations and in terms of cadence/quality/content of update are definitely one of the top devs.
