I think dev already stated that the game is free for many reasons one of it is he doesn't want the money factor is use to encourage for faster development that ending up dictate his working phase. Being against many developers that took money and working in snail phase after hooking and blue-balling enough supporters as a way to create a passive income.You can also send a donate to game developer to encourage faster development.
