There is NTR in the core route of the game, but you can still end up saving her. But it is not totally avoidable.

Based on the comments and reviews, it seems like people want something different than what the game is, it is what it is, if people don't like reading, or transformation, or NTR, then they probably will not like the game.

It is not meant to be a visual novel, it is meant to just be a reading-oriented book with some pictures to kind of illustrate some parts of the writing. And if people don't like that I totally get it, most content on this site is VNs and animated games so if people don't like this sort of content at least there are a lot of options. This is just the kind of stuff that I like and I get if it's not for everyone.

Yes I will probably do some sort of long-form bad end. When I first outlined the book when writing it I planned for the ending to be totally dark, but the readers couldn't handle it!!! However, in the framework of the game I can make it an optional ending. Probably will have the core canon ending written first and then will add the additional branches. If I do so I will mark the release so anyone who really wants that core bad end can wait to play it until it's in.

I can't wait for all the hate reviews because the planned bad end is SO dark it will probably make some people super mad lol!!! Even the current version of the story I got a lot of reviews who couldn't take some of the stuff that happens like how the goblin seed aborts Elara/Aldric's baby. But it is what it is, it will be very messed up...

Yeah I do X-Change Life too, The Goblin’s Pet is an outlet for me to write slightly more nasty stuff hehe. Definitely cannot please everyone! But at least in game form it’s possible to play out different scenarios. If people don’t like it, it’s okay!

Also I know it is very text heavy and not extremely visually stimulating which most people here crave. Myself I have more of a text/audio triggered libido and visuals are more like just to “paint the picture” rather than the core erotica delivery mechanism if that makes sense.

It all depends how you got started I guess... I stated with visual/audio then moved to text just in the last 15 years. Sure, I'd love a novel that has it all (kinda like build your own porn movie story step by step thing) but I also dream of a day when you can integrate A.I into a movie and change it into your favorite adult scene whenever you want but that's a long way away.

PS: I'd love more pictures in every chapter (because they look gorgeous) but I understand that it will require more work.

I didn't think its too text heavy but I felt like I have different expectation with the pacing sometimes. I often wished certain paragraphs to be longer or shorter while I was playing.

I'm not a good writer myself I can never tell how they can control the pacing and keep people's interest till the end.

Yeah I am not great at pacing, like I have a sex scene that is two chapters long lol. But my rule is each chapter needs to have at least one important plot advancement. Whether I actually stick to that rule who knows lol.

There is a 3d artist who is doing more of the sex scenes as renders and they look really good, but of course there is that aspect of visual inconsistency with AI images, some hand drawn art as well as the 3d stuff. He's doing a great job. Even if it's not a sex scene. For example I'd love seeing a scene with both of them pregnant or feeding.

Agree! Consistency is fine, but not that big of a deal, at least for me.

This game has a huge potential I think, but for me it is limited by the lack of art. I like both the drawn and rendered art, there is just too little of it. Whether AI would be able to help with that I don't know. But more 2D/3D art definitely would. I wonder if an AI could try and draw it similar to the art that already exists... that would be amazing. But that is probably stretching the limits of current AI systems, especially considering all the anti-nsfw stuff they have built in.

I wonder how much work is required for 2D / 3D with the current method? Is either of them quicker to do than the other? I guess the process is completely different for the two.

Only up to chapter 6, but looks good so far.

One unintentional behavior I've seen is that reversing progress doesn't seem to undo stat changes. In chapter 6 I took one branch of options that led to -30 heroism, reversed back to see how the other branch went and lost -10 in the second branch, but the initial -30 was not undone, so my heroism ended up dropping by 40 in total.

Edit: seems you can just replay a specific chapter to correct the stat changes from it.
