Wow, you folks a kinda harsh. But since opinions are like assholes, I have one too, so here's my short take:
This is episode 3, not 30... we're just now getting started really. In the third chapter/episode of just about any story character development and situational setups are still being laid out and presented to the audience... unless we are talking Dr. Seuss.
Just my opinion of just about every VN worth noting out their in the wild... or miniseries on streaming services, or books on bestseller lists, etc. The formula is usually
- Ep/Ch 1 - hook the audience with something,
- Ep/Ch2 - introduce some background and the environment of the protagonist(s) and the supporting characters,
- Ep/Ch3 - development of the the plot/story the audience is about to be subjected to.
I reckon this particular VN falls in that same exact basic formulation, give or take. Just my thoughts which mean absolutely nothing at the end of the day. Regards.
