You can technically avoid it by not picking up a camera you find, but the game doesn't warn you whats on the cameras so there's no way to know, and it implies that it will technically have happened anyway, whether you look at it or not, and so the problem basically remains anyway, IMO.

Aren't that player supposed to find out by playing and exploring the game (options, places, characters etc.)
Be fair bud, you know damn well if you IRL was to see footage of a camera (or fucking PornHub or Tube8 for that matter) that it's not your persona nor actually you that's in the scene from the get-go. Quit hiding behind the fetish novelty... if you, as a player, click on "unknown" footage that you "found" then you know by default... you are not in the damn footage.
No, there's no reason to suspect it's specifically that kind of content. It could just as easily be solo content with a girl pleasuring herself only which would have been actually enjoyable. Or it could haven been something else entirely, not even adult content at all, but footage of someone doing a crime or doing other illicit activities at that workplace that could have served as a plot device. There was absolutely no logical way to assume I was going to have to see two people have sex.
Don't think for a minute I don't see your side as well, but understand...it was an unknown and you DID have a choice whether to go there or not. Just like in real life, sometimes our decisions that seem entertaining (fun) or wise are later found to be shit. Shouldn't a proper VN do the same? Why in the world should something that is doing it's best to simulate a "reality" all of a sudden give you instructions? Life doesn't work that way and no game you have ever played worth it's salt has either. Let's meet in the middle here just for "science". Do you see anything in what I'm saying having merit?
Porn doesn't do its best to simulate reality or realism and it absolutely shouldn't anyway. Porn literally exists as a form of escapism, as a way to do and experience stuff you couldn't just go outside and do right now. Realism is completely misplaced in porn. Porn is a terrible medium to try and tell a realistic story. You can still tell GOOD stories as long as they are in service of the porn itself, and many have achieved this, but realism and ideas of reality can only serve to make porn worse.
Okay, I hear ya... but the tags "Female domination" and "Humiliation" represent a portion of what you say is "the main focus of the game", right? So, you know by default they exist whether we pretend the don't or not... they are stated clearly. I'm not trying to pick hairs here, just saying your being very picky that (to date) the very best VN's ever produced (by mass view/DL/review criteria) all have in common... the element of surprise and unexpected which may or may not be in favor of the player ("Acting Lessons" comes to mind as a perfect example). There has to be an accepted tolerance of surprise as with any fictional media representing it's intended realm whether it be a VN, a motion picture, a book, a song, whatever. Again, I see your point of view but there's more to it than the very basic aspect you are trying to place a "perfect VN for you" in...imho of course. This is the the debate of old... how many folks can a developer/author satisfy or not. Just like any great novel or movie there will be critics on both sides that defend their view to the grave... so I get it. I only hope that the VN is not ruined for you as I personally see it as a potential to be one of the few outstanding we get to experience. Time will certainly tell us whether that is true or not for sure.
