Hello everyone,
We're here with what may be the final status update of episode one. Since the last update, we've made good progress. We've finished the two large scenes that were left over from last week, and now only two small scenes and the second scene remain. In addition to rendering, we've made good progress with the coding, too. So far, we have coded 20% of the game, which equates to around 4,000 lines of code, the same as an episode of The Grey Dream. We hope the first episode will offer a decent amount of playtime.
We've also continued working on the cinematics. We've finished the first one and started working on the second of the four. You might ask why 4? We thought some scenes could be better with their own cinematics, so we've decided to add them. Surprisingly, we finished the in-game animations before the renders for the first time!
So, what's left? Besides finishing 2.5 scenes, all that's left is rendering the posed scenes, coding them, and implementing some in-game mechanics.
Now that we've covered the rest, let's move on to the scenes and the previews.
Scene 13: We've been sharing character introductions from this scene for the last two days. We wouldn't normally share this much, but we were so excited about this scene that we wanted to show you at least part of it. So far, we've rendered around 246 images, but we'll make some additions, so the final total should be around 260.
Scene 16: This is another scene that took hours to render due to the sheer number of characters. It took much longer than expected due to hardware limitations, but it's finished now. It ended up being 110 renders.
