Sandbox is the main mechanic. There are a few longer kinetic events, with a late chapter 2 event being a in-game week of kinetic, but make no mistake, if you don't like sandboxes you will not like this.
It's a heavy (but easy) sandbox game. I've played some that are terribly grindy and awful because there's no indication of what to do and you have to repeat stuff a lot to build up money, or experience, or something. I personally don't think this is like that (but I could see how others might...).

Being taken in, he is proven to be a great addition, even able to help tutor girls like Alice and Faye, and give assistance to Ms.Chang’s experiments. And maybe he’ll be able to start having fun with the girls too

Are you know some game makers from Malaysia? I know confirm some from Malaysia and Indonesia and Pinoy, I follow from Itch.io and I hear from people there. I want to see games like this in a settings like Malaysia or Indon and have hijabi teachers.
Not off the top of my head, but we do have this area for that.

While I wouldn't pay not to have it, I have full confidence that the devs wouldn't add something like this. It would competely upend the story they are telling, and there would literally be no reason to do it except to try to attract a certain new audience, while also quite possibly pushing away a chunk of the current, loyal audience. Not to mention there's way more than enough story that we haven't got to yet, with another student (Zoe?) already scheduled to come in at some point, and lots of existing students who have barely featured yet.
This basically was my first reaction after reading the beginning of the suggestion (without having seen any details): "another student" just sounds off, no matter how great the idea individually might be, since, as you correctly state, there are still a lot of characters in the queue waiting for their turn in the spotlight, any more would just bog the process down even more.
As Altos stated in his Development Updates, the next installment - the end of chapter 2 - will focus on Faye (and Nina), the twins and Alice.
