I like this game, but I think the dev needs to get a handle on the the file size, its over 8 gigs at this point and rising and there's not nearly enough content to justify that. I don't know if the dev needs to switch up file formats or what exactly, but this thing will end up over 50 gigs at this rate. I mean Grand Theft Auto Vice City The Definitive Edition is around the same size to give a comparison. Hell, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines (GOG) is around 2.32 GB.

I know this seems like a weird thing to say, but why is the headmaster's dick head the same colour as the rest of his skin? And why is it so high contrast compared to everything else? The genital models in this game aren't very good.

8 GB is nothing. Some LNs go way beyond that.

This is part of why pre-rendered sprites got replaced with real time rendering. Disk space increases linearly with content as opposed to real time rendering, which can add new poses and layouts with very little size increase. However since this game is using Ren'Py, switching to real time rendering means basically starting over, so it's not really an option at this point. Also there are benefits to pre-rendered graphics too.

Interestingly visual novels have a near 100% failure rate for real time full 3D rendering because professionally made visual novels just look way better with graphic artists doing pre-rendered graphics. Also setting up scenes in a real time rendering game can easily become way more complex and time consuming. I don't think we need reasons to push development of this game to become even slower than it already is.

Also space is cheap and with the fairly infrequent downloads I think we will survive the file size. 8 GB isn't even that bad. X-com was a 12 GB download when it came out in 2012.

Unpopular opinion: I would throw out this punishment system completely and replace it with normal events. I’m guessing there’s only one way because the developer wants the punishment system levels to be gated. To keep the story consistent, he wants to make sure that when you reach level X, you’ve seen all required scenes and have all the tools he wants you to have. But in that case, why not just replace the punishment scene with a scripted one? It would require much less work.

For just a one-and-done scene you have a point, but I think the punishment system makes them way better as repeatable events since it gives you more control over what you're seeing and the pacing. Like the best comparison is that Claire training event in your office. That's basically a punishment scene navigated through normal VN dialogue choices, and it's a bit of a slog honestly.

Between adding a little bit of puzzle and making an often-revisited system a bit more interactive/customizable, I think the punishment system's been a huge help to the game and worth the extra effort to make it.

The other problem is there's already plenty of girls that have a beginning to their corruption or development. Rachel, Lucy, Priti, Amy, Mary, Ada, Maxine, Samantha is PLENTY of characters. Everyone else, students and teachers, are definitely nice to fill out the setting, but they don't have to be main characters. I'm sure Donna and Debbie and Cassandra and Faye are very interesting, but we have enough already.

If I'm being honest, I only return to this game for Rachel content. Apparently that's over now.
