When I talk about bug I'm not talking about typo's. The most common thing is that a player contact us and ask how do I find a scene or picture. We answer them what they need to do. Then they claim that they have done everything that we say they need to do, but still doesn't come to the scene or picture that we looking for. They have clearly ended up on a different path than what their answers in the game should have indicated. That's when the detective work begins and we need to find out if there's something wrong with the coding in the game or if they at some point have played a corrupted game where some of the coding was wrong or missing. The more versions of the games that is out there the more difficult that will be. And if the error isn't in the official version then it's a long and frustrating search for the bug before we can conclude that the error is just in his corrupted savegame and that he needs to play the game from the beginning to avoid the bug.
You are right. This things have happened before and it will happen again and that's why it feels so pointless to try to create a game. Idiots like this is killing developers motivation.
i 100% agree this kinda stuff is very frustrating because you're trying to fix a issue that is already fixed if they have the up to date game version ,my experience as a help desk employee surprised me how many people just didn't follow the proper instalment or setup process then call in to complain stuff isn't working(there is a reason many helpdesks have a check list for that kinda stuff like double check all cable's are connected properly )
im not trying to bash or demotivated you in anyway nether do most people who are in the thread
there are people who make mods the help whit pathing ,gallery unlocker as a 3rd party ,then their are simply people who frequent the thread who can answer questions and such
(surely some people may have found a bug and posted it on here just to make you aware and can possible fix it)
they do this to help others to be able to enjoy the avn (more) ,even it is a compress like
SonsOfLiberty does (he is simply helping people whit lower bandwidth or disk storage easier access to your content)
even those who do not subscribe(like me) do not want you to fail or feel like shit, quite the opposite for most i'd say
but some people who will want to see you fail and get salty are out there ,best to ignore them IMO (and try to avoid public outbursts, that will only feed the haters & trolls)
the negatives shouldn't outshine the positives
i can't see into your overall numbers off supporters/subscribers but if you feel like the effort put in to create the avn isn't worth it, then stop ,it would be a shame to see THS go but no reason for you to suffer trough it for my and/or others enjoyment (best sleep a night or 2 on it)
