Lol, just fix her face, the dialog is kinda funny I guess at some points but please just fix her face, and your image doesn't relate to anything here, this is a fucking porn game essentially and no living person EVER will have a face like that, so it's not that your character is a living person to get offended by such a statement, just shrink the cheeks mate, looks like she's sucking on two jawbreakers from Ed, Edd and Eddy. Take the maids face as a template of what is normal or ANY OF THE OTHER FEMALE characters in there as far as i have seen are normal, the main protagonist for some reason is getting some real bad treatment intentionally what it looks like.
It would require too much effort to reshoot hundreds of images a thing that is not even a thing in spite of some people saying it is a thing. I have not changed her shape from start of the game (with the exception of height in a flashback long ago)

In terms of "fat cheeks' the slider for fat cheeks is set to 19% of 100%. Her cheeks are actually on the thin side, not the puffy side by a significant margin.

This will be the last update for a while. The following things have changed from 0.8 to 0.9, and fleshing things out is going to take me a while.

-The start of voice for lura has been added at the beginning. I am using a text to speech internet program that limits me to 5000 characters per day so that will be slow going, but possible given enough time. They want $5 a day for unlimited, but fuck that I don't feel like converting so much in a single day anyways.
-There is a continuation of "yes I am" on the 1.21 Jiggwatts path. Meet someone new kinda.
-Slowed down the splash screen a bit.
-On the end of the self-awareness route I have placed the start of a rudimentary trainer type game that I have put the skeleton of the code in, but not much dialogue nor any images but a work in progress image. I need to make a lot of images for this portion and this will be very time consuming. Arguably it's own game within a game.
-There may be other minor changes such as typos and so on.

0.9 Windows version

here is my unofficial android port of The Home v0.9.
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

from now on my android ports of Ren'Py games have a 2nd, persistent save location like windows. if you uninstall an app, the save files and persistent data remain intact.
therefore the app needs the permission to access the public external storage, because it has to read and write outside its own external storage directories.
you have to grant the permission or the app is shut down.

have fun and please report problems (you can reach me ).

The NOPY link triggered an alert frtom my browser warning of possible malware.
You need to be more specific. Which URL, an alert from which browser or AV, which malware?
Based o the message it gave me, it looked like some kind of code in jection thing - someone had managed to compromise that NOPY server with data-minersa.
Wait, you're not actually meaning to say it was an expired SSL certificate and your browser warning you that the connected site cannot be trusted to be who they claim to be, riiight?

However, I think I heard of some download sites including some sort of bitcoin miners or something into downloads a while back.
I hope you're not implying a site purely living off of donations and goodwill would resort to bundling any form of miner several years after people learned to keep an eye out for this both in-browser and OS? It would be pure suicide to do such a thing, and much more constructive to simply ask people outright to run the miner to provide support.

I probably should have clarified that statement. "I heard" and "I can prove" are two very different things with different meanings. I agree it would be an absolutely terrible business strategy by any download site to include any sort of bitcoin miner or malware along with downloads. No argument there, I agree 100%. On the other hand, it would not necessarily need to be done by a site administrator to be done. If some security loophole was overlooked a malicious third party person could possibly do such a thing. Such a malicious program doesn't need to be very many lines of code either. A negligible few KB in a several hundred MB download would not be noticeable.

People who make these bitcoin miner viruses typically use spam email attachments as a distribution method. However, most people do not open spam emails. On the other hand almost everyone who downloads a game or other thing from one of these sites is sure to open their download. 10 site downloads would likely have a higher success rate than 10,000 spam emails.

That being said if such a security breach did happen which is not likely to happen in the first place it would also likely be resolved fairly quickly by download site administrators when complaints start coming in.

Also, this was rumored to have happened long ago, and temporarily, and hasn't been confirmed just what I heard. I would put my chips all in on false positive.

The size-difference wouldn't be noticeable. But any user running AV would be notified when unpacking it or if obfuscated properly when trying to execute it, and the sudden spike in utilization very noticeable. Anyone smart enough to gain entry to a DL host wouldn't plant a miner though, they are simply not worth it today.
But this is besides the point, the angle I was going for was rather to be careful on engaging in this kind of talk unless someone has some actual proof outside of one person's experience and what has happened to some other unspecified host at some unspecified point in time. Given how much Nopy is used every day on these forums there would have been thousands of users busy grabbing their pitchforks after discovering their workstation booting to a "Please send 0.02 Bitcoin to richman@hushmail.com to unlock your encrypted files", if a Cache was actually compromised.

Again Nopy survives on goodwill, talk like this could be quite detrimental to that goodwill.

Have you forgotten about SJDB? There is such a thing as a "Drive-by-install / download". You assume that the virus script will make the machine use all of the ram mining, and right away. Obviously such a virus would be detected quickly, quarenteend, and removed. What if a delay were put into the script to not start running until days later or perhaps on a restart? What if the script doesn't use a massive amount of resources either? You describe it like a shark coming in to chomp. Of course, that is noticeable, but what if it's more akin to the mosquito just to suck a little blood stealthily? On the other hand Bitcoin Mining is extremely competitive, and you must crack a 64-bit hex number hash (about 1 in 6 trillion odds)... So running such a program with low resource priority wouldn't be very fruitful. I mean you are right, but for the wrong reason than you thought, and I'm wrong for the right reason that I thought haha. Anyways thread been derailed long enough back on topic. I probably shouldn't have mentioned bitcoin mining I agree.

The development has slowed down substantially for "The Home", but I'm still working on it it's on a back burner for now.

I am currently more focused on working on a second project for the time being as a team effort with someone close to me. It's going to be a slow burner/slice of life daz3d game called "What I left behind." For that project, the workload is split between 2 people. That game will not have any sort of sci-fi/fantasy elements like the home does, and is going to be bound to realism more. That game is slower to build. If I get far ahead on the story and dialogue over her rate of renders then I'll go back to working on the home until she starts to catch up. It's not near ready for release yet still a lot of work to do maybe some time before end of the year.

Story: Me, but also bounce ideas off of her
Dialogue: Me
Scripting: Me
Renders: Her but I tell her what to render
Photoshop: Me
Music/SFX: Her

This is different. For this site that is saying something. Sort of feels like the story boards were drawn while on something. That isn't really a dig. Just observation. Keep it up developer! (hehe)

The wide jaw, cheeks and mouth are off putting, people usually have more than .5cm of skin between their upper lip and nose. It's uncanny. Looks like she got stung by a wasp.
I think the dialogue could be cut down by half while retaining same amount of relevant information.

Sadly I'm going to have to abandon this project. This is the first project I ever made in renpy, and was using it as practice in learning how to write a branching story and code a game. I am now working with a daz artist on a completely new project, on top of all that I have lost my home on second life where all the camera work was done. So, without a place to shoot pictures and having a daz artist on hand the best option is to fully focus on the new game.

Whatever it's reworking everything with a new toolset, a new house, or just get this house back on SL, it can be easy if one day you decide to restart it --- if compare this to every-other-thing which is nessary to make a full game. Good luck on your brand new project but I have to add a like to this one for it's: topic, ideas and overall style (at least for the Trump scene )

Sad to hear that.

Although the game clearly had some downsides (mostly graphical), it was absolutely unique and hilarous.

Don't worry about a different house / scenery. It doesn't matter in the least and I'm sure you can find some fantastical reason why everything suddenly looks completely different.
