Long time supporters and followers may have already figured this out but development on The Hotwife isn't happening anymore.
The project started because I was searching for a HW related VN and there was nothing out there, well, I found one and it was frankly atrocious. So I figured I would learn and create my own. It's been a lot of work, a lot of learning and a lot of positive feelings of accomplishment. At first. Now it is a feeling of obligation and pressure that weighs on me a lot. Chapter 4 has a good chunk written, no visuals and a whole section cut because I could not figure how to make certain things work. Whenever I go to sit down and develop, something IRL pops up or the motivation is just not there and then it just sits there, constantly in my head and adding stress.
I have brainstormed over and over again a way to end the story in a satisfying way in chapter 4 or 5 and I just can't figure it out. The outline was to be "a year in the life" and I dread making another 4 or 5 chapters to fulfill that year long arc. So I can't even really go the "got cancelled, lets throw a BS ending together to at least end the story." route without is being super forced, rushed and not up to what I would like it to be.
The amount of support here (financial and otherwise) on Patreon and others on other platforms has been generous and very much appreciated. I was able to commission a GUI that really helped the game look cohesive and less amateur, I was able to upgrade from a laptop to a desktop, pay other creators on Patreon and elsewhere, as well as pay another community member to help with the visuals for the last chapter. It was very much also the kindness of you all that kept me trying to continue this project until this month.
I know a lot of you were looking forward to how the story went, there was so much positive feedback about the writing and one of my favourite ongoing comments has been the "came for the porn and stayed for the writing/story" . That type of comment alone made me feel like I was doing something interesting, maybe not new, but interesting and something that people care about.
So, is the project dead and buried? Probably. Might I decide to come back and write here and there, do some visuals and guerilla drop a chapter here and there over the next 10 years? Maybe? I don't know. I have deleted all the paid tiers, as much as the extra money is nice, I will never take advantage of your goodwill towards me.

This sucks. Aside from being one of the only good cuckold/hotwife games on here, this game was one of the only ones that seemed to have been written by someone with relevant sexual experience. This is a true loss to adult gaming.
a real pity, I came every now and then to see if it had been updated, but well, that's what usually happens in these games, maybe the author will give the code and someone will take it over?
