You didn't happen to apply some mod to the game? They tend to replace original files and often are not based on the latest nor fixed versions of the game.
I haven't played the game from the start quite some time and I'm not sure how well the older parts are now translated (they were bad originally, so in case the mod is based on some older version, the fixed translation gets replaced with the old one), but the newer parts have been good enough for me for a long time.

I can confirm that the multi mod linked in op does appear to use the old script.

Figured this out because I gave this a shot before and couldn't get past the rough translation but I read it'd been cleaned up so gave it another try. At first with the multi mod, until I ran into the rough english again. So, to compare I unzipped a clean version of the game and skipped through to where the translation started to mess up. Sure enough yep, the unmodded game has been cleaned up a lot.

Actually glad I decided to try this again, the story is interesting, the women are hot and the sex scenes well done. And importantly for myself at least, it's perfectly readable now.

What’s new?

• 175 images
• 5600 words
• 1 animation
• 1 music track
• 1 sound effect (SFX)
• Several bugs from previous updates have been fixed

As you may have noticed, this update has significantly fewer images than the previous one — but much more text. That’s because it’s entirely focused on the story and the game’s lore. I tried to answer some of the lingering questions — not all of them, of course, but a good portion.

So if you’re into the story side of the game, this update should definitely hit the spot!

If you're waiting for adult content, you can probably skip this one for now. But don’t worry — I haven’t forgotten about you either.

That’s all I wanted to share about this update. I’m looking forward to your feedback! Meanwhile, I’m already working on the next release — I’ve got some new ideas I want to try out.

He got rejected by Steam and lost motivation, add on, he's Russian with a bad back and had to travel out of the country to collect his patreon money, and then had to deal with the Ukrainian war he didn't agree with too. So all in all, having a pretty shit time.

But after a break, he got his motivation again.

No one forcing anyone to 'wait' for this or any other VN. Also, no one here cares whether you're happy or not. Maybe educate yourself first to why it's taken so long before letting your fingers run loose on your keyboard.

Stay, don't stay, but don't whine like a little girl for something you're not even paying for anyway. You can always offer your help to the dev to speed up the process if it's that important to you.

You realise that there ist no set industry standard for version numbers? It doesnt say anything about how far or close the game ist towards finished release. Also He already stated he wants to Push Forward and make big jumps this year. There ist really no point in complaining.

I know an ea game that has been 1/3 of it's developement hanging in 0.9.x because devs rushed the version numbers. Some games version numbers look like morse code mixed with numbers. "1.0" holds some meaning for release/marketing value as a "Magic number" but that's about it.
