And this is one of the reasons I don't really care for sandboxes: I ended up in the Spa and a secret was revealed that was supposed to be revealed in another way. Getting things out of order is a peeve. It's easier to not get ahead of yourself if you play release-by-release, but coming in even a few majors in (kind of hard to tell from changelog, but it looks like three or four with a lot of tweaks/fixes kinds of things), that's more likely to happen.

Another thing I noticed was getting a "sleep" cycle without a real day change (I think it stayed Tuesday) and ending up with two Sienna activities that were theoretically separate days in the guide being the same "day" according to the narrative. The Judy activity (first door) that happened between the two was theoretically during the sleep cycle, so that wasn't surprising, only that it didn't seem to trigger an actual new game day. Maybe it was simply a nap.

Not necessarily every sandbox has had this, but here, as in a few others I've seen, you can easily lose track of what day it is without copious notes, and, with this one, it seems that the "days" barrier is a little bit on the permeable side instead of being a firm gate for certain activities. There is a ghost and the paranormal involved, so permeability and time dilation maybe shouldn't be a surprise.

And, one bit of inaccuracy: Minerva, as a "Mother Superior" figure, wouldn't have been so blatantly opposed to masturbation - every convent has a version of the rule "light's out at 10, candles out at 10:30".

Significant continuity thing I saw in tonight's session with the Sienna path.

The opportunity to buy her sexy underwear comes well before the Kamasutra "quest". In the sexy underwear series of events, she masturbates through her panties in front of you, then, after you take them from her, she does so to orgasm while you stand behind her. However, when Kamasutra comes along, the dialogue has her initially denying that she masturbates in the first session, and in the second session she says she's never talked about masturbation with anyone before. Did I somehow get a trigger too early, too late, or were the scenes written in one order, but simply implemented in the opposite when the game was put together?

I tend to disagree:

Hyperfocus is great for worker bees and making incremental improvements in limited areas, but benefiting "the world" requires people that can see bigger pictures and connections. The more intellectually gifted pick up all of the disparate knowledge they can soak in, focusing in different areas at different times, and realizing something going on in one area can lead to a solution in another. Folks in that other area might have been smart enough, but if they were too focused, they wouldn't have had the insight to look anyplace else for solutions, or at least not as soon. The person with broad knowledge and good recall can think about issues in one area, see that other thing, and bring it to bear on the other problem. Such folks tend to solve puzzles and problems faster. It's the true hallmark of "genius".

Knowledge about one thing and one thing only doesn't lead to progress nearly as quickly as knowledge about many things and the wisdom and discernment to see connections and potential solutions other people miss. Some people think IQ is just a knowledge thing: it's really processing speed, pattern recognition, and the ability to correlate.

That's the point. The room was there because I saw renders with it showing up, but there was no plan behind the room. That's why we never actually got content. It's like a inner garden in the house no one ever goes to.

Judy is buried there. That garden is the heart of the property. If she starts to get too out of hand, you can always threaten to dig her up, then salt and burn her bones. Of course, the house would sink beneath you and you'd lose all of your enhancements and healing, so might be a bad ideal.

Completed the update.
Two key things:
1) Sandbox is now optional, I'll make sure to mention it when recommending the game.
2) Demons are actually really involved, and the cum Judy collects is not for her but for the demon who is actually maintaining her existence. Makes sense. Now I wonder just how much of Judy's power actually comes from Mistress…

Still loving the game, if only there were more AVNs where supernatural entities were used for thriller and mystery and not fantasy…
