So I am not sure if I am pasting them to the right location. There are 6 sub folders in the extended hook 5 folder.

If you are using the files posted here (which are older), then you should be extracting the archive directly into your game folder. Not the binaries folder.
Keep in mind everything on F95 is old. If you want the latest most updated stuff including the more simplified straight forward Hook5 install, get it from klubexile.com.

I extracted the contents and put them in addons, active mods and the save model folder. the model will show in game but seems to be missing something. Either the hair is funny or eyes look strange, body is two tone or face is black whilst the body is white. I have even tried very basic downloads which require the one folder go into save model folder and nothing else and still have the same result. is there a method or pattern to follow when downloading models to have better results? some downloads don't even include instructions but will come with a model folder and 1 hair file like this one:You must be registered to see the linksi don't even know where the hair file goes and the face in game does not match the png.

v11 graphics are not at the level of v10 w/ Hook5. v11 graphics are more akin to something like Hook4. Additional features like Skin Layers, Displacements, and proper PBR mapping and sub surface scattering simply do not exist or are suboptimal in v11...which makes it nearly impossible to produce the images on the OP with it.
For rooms...also a big fat No.
Many rooms shown are Hook5 enabled using things like Hook5 particles (fire, fog, wind, rain), water features, mirrors, and full lighting effects. While v11 can do lighting it is limited to about 3 lights and the shadows and intensity are limited only around those specific lights. This makes composing what you see in those OP images next to impossible with v11. In addition many of those rooms are actually Hook5 Object rooms. These are basically rooms made with 3D assets that only can be opened when Hook5 is enabled, which obviously is not going to work in v11.
Wow this is way to good . Which version is that ?One thing to remember Hook5 is more of a tool that in the right hands you can do some incredible stuff with. You just cannot turn it on throw a few lights in your scene and expect it to look good. From Custom Skins, to Physx, Hairworks, Particles, Water, H5 Objects, Scripting and more there is a lot you can take advantage of...

On the contrary, the original developers you severed ties with are trying to improve graphics and performance. And in VX11, they succeeded to do it. So sooner or later you're going to have to embrace the VX11.
Of course, the VX11 is not perfect and has many flaws, but the previous versions were not without flaws either.
We need to stop all this bickering and work together in friendship on the game.

VRAM is only available on discrete GPU's. Integrated GPUs use RAM. I can certainly say that on these GPUs, even with 8GB of memory, the game crashes if you use Hook when using modern models and scenes rather than standard ones. And it's really funny. I have a device with integrated graphics that can handle a game made in UE5 with no problem, whereas it can't handle Hook and simple VX graphicsIn my opinion you should have a GPU with at least 4GB of VRAM minimum preferable 6GB or more.

Yeah, I think you're right.The 4GB executable limitation on the base game, which has nothing to do with graphics. Remember VX was developed for 32-bit systems, so it's obviously not optimized for modern computers.
V11 also has one huge disadvantage...No Hook5.Yeah, I think you're right.
Obviously, neither RAM nor VRAM has anything to do with it, VX will still crash when 4 GB is exceeded.
The only solutions may be to reduce the screen resolution or reduce the size of the textures.
Sure, the VX11 lacks the disadvantage with the 4GB limit, but as I wrote above, the VX11 does not support high dpi monitors and is not portable.
This probably because of Hook5 my friend. I will say this...when using Hook5...any crash to desktop without the usual Out of Memory game message is directly due to Hook5 not having enough GPU resources to do whatever you were trying to do. Remember Hook5 runs on the side unknown to the game...so the game does not schedule resources based on the presence of hook 5...so if you try to do too much all at the same time...without enough headroom, you will likely get a crash due the something akin to a Buffer Overload.2. I ran a potato laptop with Hook5 and the crashes I got (and admittedly, still get) are NOT because of Hook5. There is a little something called "textures" which have increased in resolution and size, and with the added 4th model on VX, you are bound to get crashes. Why? The 4GB executable limitation on the base game, which has nothing to do with graphics. Remember VX was developed for 32-bit systems, so it's obviously not optimized for modern computers.
Hook4 was abandoned long ago in favor of Hook5, so it would be my advice to move towards H5. I honestly haven't seen many H4 assets, and this is coming from a former H4 user!
