This probably because of Hook5 my friend. I will say this...when using Hook5...any crash to desktop without the usual Out of Memory game message is directly due to Hook5 not having enough GPU resources to do whatever you were trying to do. Remember Hook5 runs on the side unknown to the game...so the game does not schedule resources based on the presence of hook 5...so if you try to do too much all at the same time...without enough headroom, you will likely get a crash due the something akin to a Buffer Overload.

Yeah, Hook5 is a whole different thing, I forgot about that. But at what point do we know if crashes occur because of Hook5 or because of the sizes of the textures? It's true that it could be a combination of both, but if we're loading 4X skins and outfits with big texture resolutions, that is also bound to crash the game before Hook5 even has the chance to do its thing. Am I mistaken? If so, I might need to revert to vanilla graphics and see for myself. Maybe my claim doesn't really hold up.

Hey so i can't seem to find the launcher for v11? i try the TK17-500.001.exe from the binaries but it won't launch anything. Also do I have to install Hook for it to run or not? TIA!

Erase that buggy piece of garbage and get VX. You can get Hook 5 with it and make your game look a heck of a lot better.

Just try it mate. If you can use VAM , then tk17 is a light breeze for your rig. It's not as heavy as vam.

Is it worth joining? In my opinion. Nope. (No activity, no new fresh content, no game updates). Also if you are from Thrixxx, literally all of the remaining Thrixx users are some place else.

That is just my personal opinion. You should decide for yourself. Nothing wrong with joining and taking a look.

Virt-A-Mate and TK17 are completely different beasts. For one, TK17 doesn't really have VR support to my knowledge. However, if what I heard is correct, you might have a quicker time learning how to set things up for TK17 faster if you're already a VAM user. However, it does have a bit of a steep learning curve. If you want to try it out, feel more than welcome to visit KE, they have the best support for the game there.

For all I know there are multiple repacks in some russian trackers but they are outdated and most if not all of them are a mess. From my experience the repack from FlashbangZ is the best one with lots of content and everything works but unless you are willing to pay 5 bucks or whatever on patreon its impossible to find anymore. Yes its outdated but its full of new content and it works. I wish I kept it somewhere back in the day. Nowadays every mirror I find is dead :\

Anyway if you find some new good repack let me know. I really want to get back to the game but I can't be bothered sourcing everything from various forums, its such a hassle really. I wish there was something like the nexus for SKyrim or in-game hub like VaM
