DEVLOG: Road to AAA game
Hello everyone. While I'm wrapping up with the update on TLB 0.9.30, I want to share my progress with you in learning UE 5.
For me, this is an entirely new development environment, but I want to master this tool so that in the future, I can delight you with high-quality realistic content.
Since I have an understanding of how games are made, I approach development from the perspective of solving the tasks necessary for creating a game.
At the moment, I've figured out setting up multi-layered materials, how cinematics and lighting work, as well as rigging and creating animations within the engine.
I don't currently have a finished demo to show you, as I need to complete the 0.9.30 release before I continue my learning process.
But I'm considering creating new renders for the gallery of the demon and the priest within UE5. As in my opinion, the image quality in UE5 is better than what Octane Render, which I'm currently using, provides. What do you think?
What will happen with TLB?
I'm keeping working on the project as before, and I intend to bring it to its final Steam release. I understand that developing a full-fledged project on UE will take me a lot of time, and I probably won't be able to do it on my own. However, the good news is that in my country, adult content will likely be legalized in the near future, and I'll be able to officially open a studio here and hire people. This way, I can launch a new project with top-notch graphics, high-quality animations, and voice acting.
When is the release of version 0.9.30?
Soon. Very soon. I miscalculated my time and energy a bit and took on a bigger chunk of work for the release than I should have. I hope to gather everything and launch it within 3-5 days. Apologies for the delays.
Stay Tuned!
