Can someone tell me this update continues after all of them return home and there were no people around or just added choices and path in bus station?
This entire update is a possible alternative route when all the students are gathered at the bus station (and the fat friend who accepts a challenge happens, etc.). Depending on which you choose, you'll have an almost completely different game tone and atmosphere, or the usual one we had a while ago with the heated bus ride and the arrival at the gas station. There's no progress beyond the arrival in the city. Likewise, it's best not to load old saves because the game can crash; it's better to start a new one from the beginning.

To everyone not keeping up with the dev logs etc (which is fine): the dev also didn't have the funds to continue the Bus Ride story. DAZ assets are expensive, especially non standard stuff. While the dev was making this alternative path, it also gave him some time to get some $$$ to slowly but surely get the funds needed to get the assets he needed to continue the storyline. This is his hobby and passion project, but honestly, it's not cheap lol.

Do keep in mind that the dev got kicked off of Patreon, so that's a financial setback already and well, since it's his first game, he doesn't have a backlog of assets he already owns. And of course some assets he can make, but this takes time :p

Feel free to check out his Discord page, the dev truly is working on this every moment he got and if you can miss a few quid, subbing on his Subscribestar might move things along in regards to getting the assets.

I think the update was a lot longer than the dev thought it was going to be and sure, not a lot of sex, but there's still a lot of worldbuiling imo and some background information regarding the mc. And the dialogue was top notch as usual, which sets this avn apart from many other titles.

I read that response initially, and while I want donkey to succeed - immediately returning to a huge post-apocalyptic city is an odd story decision when you're low on assets. Like I said earlier, if i were in that situation I'd just have them drive around a bit, continuing visiting other landmarks and build that into the story. This is how you keep asset library low while progressing.

He started the post-apocalyptic part of the story too soon. What I don’t understand how
he jumped from mc/alexa relationship
problems to the post-apocalyptic.Was better if he focused more on the relationship between the group.

There is only one solution, somebody here should become his sugar daddy, so he can jazz up his build and buy the rest of the shit that he needs. And then we might have a chance of seeing this game being completed in our life times.

cmon one of you…do it for the bois! (y):ROFLMAO:

I would say that people are going to be even more reluctant to support after this last update tbh. Those who have been following the thread may have known the reasons for the weird story switch, others will play the game normally and be left at the point they were before. Then be left scratching their heads and wondering where the new content is.

Oh my god, this is way too ambitious! I played the update and was confused there was no new content before seeing there was an entire new thread and 2 more planned! I love this story and I love the champ but any chance to finish this game would have to focus more on the common and less on the threads. Maybe there are plans to weave the threads back together soon into the common path but it appears to be growing out of control. Love the game, love the champ, love the story and all the content but rolling one boulder up the hill is enough, even Sisyphus didn't have to roll 4!

Ah the old too many characters, too many paths then ghosted by dev due to >insert dramatic life event< followed by monthly update status reports then abandoned.

Did I miss anything?

If thats a reply to me, I'm not concerned about it being abandoned, but if the story keeps expanding it will take years per chapter if there is an A, B, C and D path that deviate so drastically. Like if there was a serious studio behind this project who could realistically design and finish a game like this then have 30 paths, the more choices the better! Maybe you think having 4 paths is nothing, to me it sounds like a ton of work

If I understand what I've been reading here, chapters with a letter will be new content woven into the old? So in order to play the update you'll have to keep replaying it until we move froward with the story? If this is the case I might have to shelve this until the season is complete to play through, I'm not really interested in restarting the game over and over.

Oh wow. I just played the game and while I enjoyed it seems like I played the path that it's not being worked on at all. This game has a lot of potential but like other people said it seems unlikely to be finished. I think I will keep an eye out and download it again if I ever see the complete tag next to it, but until then I think this is it for now.

Either way, the game is good at least, hopefully the dev will keep at it.

...well, shit. Just played the "update", more or less recreating my previous playthrough since apparently old saves don't work and it ends pretty much where it did before. Decided to come check out the changelog and...it's just the same shit again except with an alternate route that focuses on fucking Samantha of all people? Really? Am I missing something?
