My favorite part is that not only are their 4 routes to get to city(too many), but I love how he is giving SO much extra content, renders, and time to the other routes, while the Bus route with Lexa is just very quick and short. You can spend 4 days here on this route, or like a day on the bus. Really cool. Love the balance and fairness.

This X1000.

I feel like im in the twilight zone sometimes reading the thread coverage of this game..... He set up this engaging world full of cute college girls and lively banter and personalities..... and all everyone can talk about is the geriatric maid at the start or the bland military route.

Technically I think the bus route is longer because army route takes place in just the night of the first day since MC slept through the day while his friends were driving home. Still, he arrives in the city in the morning so probably only a couple of hours after the bus. But 4 days for the third route?

After first two routes you'd think first chapter would relatively end in the same time and place but after Donkey's description it does sound a bit like Rosalind route is just MC banging milfs for four days in Meteor Valley (nothing wrong with that) and chillin' while his friends hang out in apocalyptic city. Yeah, that sounds a bit unbalanced.

Is just my imagination, or are there hints of superpowers in this? I saw lots of clues:

1. In one of Mr Greywood's lines on the bus, he cuts himself off as he's saying what could only be the word "abilities", when talking about secrets he kept from his partner.
2. Larissa (I think I got that right) is treated very strangely by the military squad as if she's only tolerated because she's useful. She also mysteriously fixes the MC's shoulder with a "massage" that looked more like she was just holding it, and then gets chewed out later by the general for doing it.
3. The military group's talk about "one of us" when it seems from context they're not just talking about the the military group itself.
4. The Chameleon squad...

It's not just your imagination. Dev mentioned before that he likes to leave bread crumbs of that kind where you can see that something is clearly going on. About the actual powers, Larissa and Chameleon squad are the most obvious clues. She seems to have some healing powers and the squad is probably invisible or some shit.

"One of us" can be easily explained. When you meet Governor she asks General if MC is "one of us" and check his eyes. When prologue ends, there's cutscene of news reporters talking about the pandemic. They describe that people who recovered from the deadly virus have different color of their eyes. You can see on the military route many people with white/grey or yellow/amber eyes, starting with Governor herself.

if you saw the news scene before the timeskip there's a lot of hints to that, General also says to MC that there things happening in the Valley that common folks wouldn't be able to comprehend, and he also wants you to be a apart of it, and also you have Nancy who was able to hear Hawkins and his bald friend from the other side of the room talking dirty abt her, and Vasquez saying “she one of us” like she has some type of ability

There be some obvious explanations for the quirks in this game, so here are some examples:
This is a visual novel after all and players are seeing bread crumbs of some special plot developing already. That needs a lot of set up in the dialogue to hold off on the visual reveal later on.
one thing that make me uncomfortable about this game is that a lot of bla bla bla, especially in the bus
Is just my imagination, or are there hints of superpowers in this?

We are post covid with boosters still being adminitered and worked on, while the craze of getting the shot and being covid free was the rage not so long ago and still is to some extent. Survivors or vaccinated - ”the chosen ones” calls back to Magneto Brotherhood and the evolved beings in mutants plot point in the future past story line and the last stand story arc. Even way back as far as world war Z or I am Legend saw families being torn apart by fear of infection and the segregation mindset of the survivors.

yeah also figured, that some of characters that will have their own abilities, i think this will be more elaborate on the military route since Gorvernor and General and also the other characters seem to know what’s happening behind the scenes

4. The Chameleon squad...
What was the movie... The Host, a 2013 film...coincidence?...
Now, this story could absolutely be based on or a twist of that plot (or not), with some other elements blended in from other movie, book plots... The "crown virus", the eye color changes are successful hosts... Unsuccessful die, or go mad... Or, there's more than one "faction" or "race" of aliens, one benevolent (like Wanderer in The Host) and one not so benevolent. Then, there's surviving human "non-hosts" caught in the middle of it all... Or maybe the virus affects the aliens... Idk, so many ways this could go...

1. Yeah, Greywood is "one of them", whoever "them" are...
2. Larissa is one of them, too. And I'm guessing she almost gave "them" away healing the MC so fast. She's the one that really makes me think "aliens"; she says the MC made her feel, human...
3. The military group is "one of them". Them who is the question... I have a hunch, of course, given that this is starting to feel similar in some way to the movie The Host... The military group could be a group that is trying to defend itself and some humans (for some reason), from a not so benevolent "invader" or result of the "virus"... But that idea really makes me question the plot... Why send all of them home, without making contact 1st to make sure it's safe... idk...
4. They can blend in, become whoever needed. Their appearance is hidden because I'm guessing they aren't, or don't look, "human", yet...

Just my wild speculation, though...:ROFLMAO:
I'd suggest not thinking about it too much, because only the dev knows where this is going right now...
