More BS, as usual.
Hello friends!
Today we’ll talk a little about another mechanic that we planned at the very beginning of the game, but are only now getting ready to add to the game. And this, all of a sudden, is an alignment! In general, we all understand that Gaston is not the most positive character...
Gaston: Hey! I'm not bad. I'm just drawn that way! Or does this excuse work only for busty rabbit lovers?.. Well, yes, I knew it.
...But despite this, from the very beginning we wanted you, our best players in the world, to have a choice in how exactly Gaston achieves his goals. Will he be an unprincipled scoundrel, or just a persistent guy with his own principles.
For example, Gaston may not set Emma up so that she ends up in the stocks. This is one example of a “bad” solution in our - authors' -opinion. Or Gaston's conscious decision to simply watch from the sidelines as the Beast has fun in the forest with Belle... It's hard to call this a good deed, right?
When we fully add the alignment system to the game, Gaston will receive points for good or bad Gaston for some choices. They will, as expected, influence the ending, but also the unlocking of some options, both in the story and in the erotic scenes. ^__^
And also, for example, Gaston, who is too good, will have the opportunity to achieve a lot in the Hunters' Guild, but his career in the Secret Society or the Thieves' Guild will be limited. But the most important thing is that a truly good Gaston will be able to open up new approaches to Belle (and other heroines)... This is logical, right?
However, we all know that many people like to play as evil characters... It's just a game and roleplaying a character, right? ^__^ So for real evildoers, unique atrocities and insidious moves will also open up that are inaccessible to spineless good people!
Let's say right away that you won't be able to play the lawful neutral Gaston (and also multiclass him into a druid-paladin with two levels of alchemist
), but still the alignment, even in such a basic form, will definitely add depth to 'The Library Story'. For now we only talk about the foundation for this system, but in the coming versions we will begin to add new options for good and bad Gaston.
P.S. The rest piece of translated text for LS 0.07.5.7 has already been proofread and is being added to the game right now. Ahead is the correction of compatibility with old saves, final testing, catching the most vicious and evasive bugs, and, finally, the release! There are very few left till publishing the new LS version, so stay in touch, guys!
