VN Ren'Py The Lost Chapters [v0.6 Public] [Asura Interactive]

I just finished the current version and I'm mostly impressed. Interesting introduction to the plot, excellent pace, beautiful characters with varied personalities and gorgeous visuals with great use of lighting and camera angles.

The big problem I have with it is the poor grammar everywhere. At this point I've stopped expecting people to even do simple things like using the correct form of "its" or "it's" but this VN also keeps flip-flopping between present and past tense in the narration. It's very distracting. Pick one and stick with it.

Even with the blatant issues with the english language, this is looking great.

Very interesting game, the MC looks great. I like that it's a female protagonist and focused on lesbian and futa, it's rare to see that combination. The scene with Valeriya was great, looking forward to see more of her, also Ember and Ash and Jessica too.

Renders look good and the story is interesting, can't wait to see more of it, great work so far!

Feels like the Mind Control tag should be added. The very first scene, Lauren goes from "I need to run away" to immediately "How can I help you dear?" Then we have an even more blatant example at the end of the update.

Not that I'm complaining, I loved it, just throwing it out there.

Grammar issues aside, consider me invested. Can't wait to see where this goes. Curious about Viviane and what she has to do with Eve. And the.. Succubus?.. she confronts. Can't help but feel like the red hair and the fact we never see her face leads to only one possible person it could be xD

As a grammar Nazi myself, I appreciate your acknowledgement of this going forward. That said, even people like me will be way more willing to overlook errors so long as the story grips us, which, for my part, absolutely has! I loved it!

Games with a female protagonist, along with a lesbian focus, are EXTREMELY rare, which means even more people are going to be even more likely to overlook things they don't like. Frankly, you're sitting on a goldmine with this one.

As for the review: I will certainly leave one after a second playthrough just to ensure I can leave one that is as accurate and succinct as possible. That said, I can safely say it'll be a 4 out of 5 stars at minimum based on what I've played so far.

Edit: Forget to address your point of constructive criticism. Frankly, I don't have any from what I've seen so far (outside of punctuations and grammar). Any 'complaint' I have is just subjective; namely out of a desire to know more about the initial intro scene with Lauren and.. whatever she encountered, and how it will affect the MC and story going forward. All of which I'm sure you'll address eventually.

Keep up the good work. I'm rooting for you friend.

I'm honestly not at all sure how I feel about this. Main character is obviously super gorgeous, so good work there. I mean, just look at that banner, god damn. I also like what the story is potentially shaping up to be, I've seen a few of these urban fantasy stories and I always feel like I want more than I'm getting, so I'm glad to get this itch scratched. Buuut there are a few things that really bug me.

Full disclosure, I barely got any sleep done last night and my thoughts are honestly kinda fuzzy, so maybe I missed something or came at it from the wrong perspective.

EDIT Oh, and this kinda falls under the "one moment it's porn-logic, the next it's not" umbrella of bad writing, but personally I can't stand characters who just get away with anything just because the plot says so (for example, anything with Ashley (and to a lesser degree Ember)).

All that said, I think might come to like this one quite a lot.

Hmm. Thanks for the feedback. I see what you mean. However, I believe I have prepared the right kind of get out of jail free card for those situations. That's all I am going to say about this now.
