I have very few reservations about necroing, but will say as some excuse that I'm only here because I myself am doing a bit of cleaning up in my watched threads and unwatching old abandoned games or things that no longer suit my tastes. I'd recommend you do this yourself if necroing bothers you.

As far as I can tell, the creator just quit working on the game, came back for all of 10 minutes to seethe and shoot down someone trying to continue the game themselves, then... deleted everything on the pateron and made a single piece of foot fetish art on the same patreon he previously used for TLoU? And then disappeared again.
So no, no news about the game.

It's not the same game. It's a different game based on the Last of Us video game series and TV series. It's called "Osc (One Second Chance) The Lust of Us" and this one here that's abandon is just called "The Lust of Us". While I'm disappointed this one has been abandoned. I liked what it was going for.
