Ohhh man, fuck you dev! What an awesome avn, so much potential.
I was close to quitting the avn after the first 1-2 minutes until i realised the mc and ben are pricks on purpose at this point in the story. And its crazy how utterly ugly the mc looks without a beard and how good with a beard lol
Just really heartbreaking, plays the emotions skillfully. Being in the shoes of the mc im not sure i would be able to get the drive back to keep going after experiencing such a fucking tragedy. Giving us a little snippet out of his life just with his daughter just to take her away too, its so sad.
And Maddy asking the nurse if she will meet her mother if she doesnt get good again ... uff ...
The LI's are interesting yet the prologue has made it hard to want to connect to them romantically soon for me, i feel like even i am missing ella as the player despite us not knowing thiiiiiiis much about her so far. It speaks for the immersion level of the story.
Curious but so far, the interactions with the non-li characters are more fascinating for me like the old woman on the bridge, (and no i dont want to fuck her lol, is she lisas mom?), the old guy in the hospital or Ben and Vicky.
And im VERY CURIOUS about Madelyn and how the MC reacts to her, she even looks like a adult maddy
, how the MC reacts to her will be interesting and how Madelyn herself reacts to learning that her sister is dead and the daughter of her sister too ...
About the theorys about her name: I suspect Ella thought Madelyn would be dead and the name therefore was a supposed memento to her sister.
Madelyn will obviously have the same disease as Ella and Maddy, and therefore the MC telling her about it will hopefully at least safe her life which in the end kinda closes a sad circle.
Edit: little nitpick: The nurse looked very ... strange ... during the date

A prequel would be more interesting for an AVN than the current story, I just can't get interested in any girl in this situation, the guy's daughter just died, and he wants to fuck?

While i struggle to romantically connect to the LI's too i wouldnt see it this strict.
He didnt had any woman since his wife died 8 years ago, his daughter was his everything and is gone too now, i wouldnt consider it entirely unplausible to distract yourself with every possible activity afterwards, including women.
But kinda only as long as it stays casual for now, i cant see him commit to anyone or anything too soon, at least not to anything not related to ella or maddy
But imo(!) the avn does this mostly right so far, the MC telling sarah that "he will always love ella more than anything" without even elaborating any further that ella is in fact dead kinda shows him having a similar mindset in the matter (Sarah was kinda slow here to not realize that Ella's dead tho or is that only me lol?)
He's not desperate for a new relationship or anything like that, its more like hes going with the flow. He's not out there to look for the love of his love or anything like that
It will be interesting to see how the LI's react when they became aware of his life tragedy, esp sarah, i remember her saying "believe me i experienced more tragedy at this place" referring to the hospital where maddy died, she will eat these words.

You can of course tell Sarah it's not the right time, which in my mind is the most realistic outcome for that event. I just don't know if that means it's all off with her, she was pretty touchy over the phone incident. And yeah, it will be interesting when she finds out. But Sarah probably has seen more tragedy. Maddy wasn't her first, just the one straw that broke her with too much.

I would argue having your own 8yo kid die in this hospital as a single widow father is way worse than experiencing however many deaths of unrelated people there.
She was kinda comparing trauma (which is stupid in itself) but she cant be blamed for it as she has no clue how deep the mcs life tragedy is

As in inviting her to the special place, but not going for it when she wants to go further.
Of course it's different, but we don't know how many deaths she's seen that got her to this point, what kinds of traumas. Suffering isn't equivalent on a scale, some people suffer over the tiniest things, other people shrug off massive traumas. But I can certainly imagine Sarah's seen more tragedies, even if they're strangers - having an alcoholic tendency to numb her mind on days off shows she's not handling things.
BUt yeah, the MC's hurt/suffering, distress is sharper and more focused, while Sarah's is more existential at this point I guess.

As i said and you too, comparing trauma's is senseless and useless, everyone is and reacts different, Lisa's moms rant about this topic was pretty good btw. Im just saying, if you tell someone "believe me i experienced worse things than you at this place" while this persons 8yo kid died there ... you will eat these words if you become aware of it.
I didnt implied to say that working at/in a hopsital is not fucking hard and mentally taxing on every level
Edit: I think inviting Sarah to this place is a bigger deal than having sex with her

This is already one of the best AVN's on this site in my opinion. Very good writing. Great LI's every girl is best girl in this one. A decent MC. Good grammar! jPk vns props to you! Damn cliffhangers too, I am ready for chapter 3!
