well, i think the story here is quite normal, the tragic side here only about losing dear wife and daughter. The plot is quite clear about MC's journey to move on from the past. I think we'll be spared from "mind-blowing-family-relation", but maybe we'll be surprised by romance issue. Quite refreshing i might say

Normally I'd agree, but if I'm understanding the dialogue from Madelyn correctly then her and Ella only share the dad, not the same mom. If Madelyn's dad is the MC's dad as well, then Ella would also be his half sister (which would make the story quite awkward since incest isn't planned).

I think Ella knew her time was limited and tried setting pieces in motion to help the MC move on from her while also giving her half-sister a family she's probably always wanted as well. I initially thought Ella titling her story "the missing piece" was alluding to Madelyn, but it most likely is a self reference as she is quite literally the missing piece (due to.. you know... dying...).

I doubt it and i suspect it will be more in a metaphorical sense (similar to when the ghost of ella and maddy pushed madelyn towards John).

Otherwise this would have been kind of an asshole move from ella to put the mc through this and even get a kid in the first place without his consent to everything which comes with it (him being a single dad) and would make her very guilty of maddy's dead and i doubt the dev will go that way.

I think its more like ella's values and mindset which "stayed alive", she may calculated for lots of things but i doubt she knew what would happen.

I think this is too narrow a view of the story, which, in fact, has not yet been developed. The MC's journey to move on from the past might well end in the river under the bridge if Charlotte didn't find him. And I am sure that the dev will not let MC relax and play a dating sim.
Also, MC periodically sees dead people, this is not a very healthy thing.

ahh you got me wrong, I only pointed out about the incest things, not the story in general. What i mean is, based on the dialogs in-game, it's very clear that it will be quite impossible that incest things will be come up, since many people theorizing about it.

Of course there'll be far more wide story will come, i only stated that the base story in this game is about "move on from the past", not some "family-relation-relationship" kind of game that hovering over incest things.

Which is why, in relation to that last part of your statement, the game should have the tag "Paranormal" added to it.

Also, I would recommend to the author, jPk vns, to make reference or depict again two earlier characters, for Maddy's sake : Isabella, and her mother Natalie. Why ? Because she (Isabella) would want to pay hommage to her fallen teamate and best friend, and her mom (Natalie), would be concerned about how the MC is doing after the passing of his beloved child.

I could be wrong, but the story feels black and white... bad things happen/Villains are bad(Father probably) fleshing Madelyn as a corrupted LI/Person of interest with some secret agenda, dont makes sense for me. If Karma is real, John cant suffer more in his story.

I hope you're right! he derserves love! Pluse new Madelyn is adorable. Still loyal to Hailey though...

Well, after the emotional hell that was the prologue, I thought it could not get like that again, but man was I wrong. The scenes with Madelyn where also hell, damn emotional game this one. I am just hoping in episode 4 that Sarah and Lisa are told about Maddy and how there lives are linked.
