He is unaware of their customs and Finnabair takes advantage of this
The customs can be whatever, i see the situation from MC eyes as a human that is not versed in multiworld politics and policies.
The custom may as well have been that on every 3rd tuesday of every 3rd month a non-local can be slain without consequences.
Barely getting a sorry from Finnabair and Medb(less so) for ruthlessly attempting to end MC's life.

The trope from enemies to friends to lovers is a fun one, but in my opinion the two characters need to be proper enemies, where both want to get rid of the other. Here the case is more like one sided abuse.

You're seeing it completely wrong. Everything I see, hear or read from both parties is full of prejudices, clichés and who knows what else.

Our virgin MC now approaches the Alfars of his own free will and offers them his hand. As expected, he was received accordingly; cold, reserved, even aggressively hostile. Now the Alfars suddenly have to realize that our MC doesn't fit the image they have of people.

The Alfars should also be allowed to change their minds.

That i am fine with, different cultures and whatnot.

The Alfars should also be allowed to change their minds.
And that they can do freely, but to brush/write off proper life threatening actions to just "tee hee xenophobic customs of the elves", is not that great in my opinion.

For me Finn barely managed to redeem herself by the end of the chapter.
I think someone posted the idea that if instead of Finn it was just an elven bloke, he would be slain 99% of the time, just like the mercs at the start of the game.

Hey everyone,

Sorry, there won't be a dev log this week.
I'm writing this on my mobile phone while sitting in bed.
I caught the Influenza from the fam (all of them had it since last Saturday), so now I've been in bed since Wednesday.
I haven't felt this shitty since I got hit by Covid a few years ago...

Anyway, I'll skip this week's dev log and preview renders and try to get out of bed as quickly as possible.

Stay safe and healthy,
Ceo
