Hey everyone,

February hasn't even reached its end, and it feels like I already had my share of shit for a full year.

The good news: the flu is finally fucking off, and I'm feeling better.
The bad news: my mother was hospitalized on Wednesday night with sepsis and is in critical condition. They don't know where it came from, and she's about to undergo surgery within the next few hours.
She had sepsis a few years ago and barely survived it (single-digit % chance of surviving), so we all have that in mind every moment we talk to the docs.
Right now, we have no idea how this will end.

In short, productivity got another hit because of life. :-(

I'm still working on Fiona's scene, but it's slowly coming to an end. I hoped to get to the next scene today but didn't make it because of the past 2 days.
But I'm not too far away.

The next scene won't have any preview images because of potential spoilers.
I'll see if I can come up with some "compensation."

The numbers for this week:
84 new static renders for a total of 1967
0 new animations, total is still 47
213 new lines in the script file for a total of 5681

Hope you guys have a better weekend ahead of you than me.

Stay safe,
Ceo

Wow, that sounds like a horrible situation. I sincerely hope Ceolag's mother pulls through.

The metrics are obviously not the top priority a the moment, but for the record Ceolag's overall average is now approximately 70 static renders, 1.7 animations, and 203 lines per week since work on Chapter 6 began. Here are the charts:

Progress continues to be fairly steady even with the recent crises. As far as the previews go, Fiona is as lovely as ever, though the blocking (with the MC lurking in the background) is certainly interesting. I'm more curious about the preview embargo for the next scene. I had assumed the final scenes would be with Elea, but I wouldn't expect that to be inherently spoilery. Maybe we're confirming her long suspected ties to the Templars? Or maybe the next scene is something else entirely and poor Elea is going to be stuck on the sidelines for yet another cycle?

I certainly hope it's not the latter, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

ename144 ; It is all subjektive I know, but Elea has not concious ties to the Templars, else other than , that she as the MC is an offspring, of someone who is involved to certain degree, (not wanting to start a discussion here about; Templars all shit, or all Angels)
for me her mother (Linnae; and the Callisters, are the more pure faction of the Templars, at this point we all know that they are corrupted, and split into 2 factions) Very probably that she will be the Anti Templar support for the MC should you go on the "Burn Bridges" path with her as LI

I think there are potentially 2 Anti Templar supports: Elea and Maeb. Kaija is clearly a pro templar route and Fiona a sobrenatural third way outside Elves and Templars scope. Elea can give tech support for freezing templar assets, spying, hacking information or even meddling with the AI inside templar's headquarters or can support MC if the choices bring him to support the "good" faction among the templars by using her skills to meet those ends. Maeb could be a force that will try to appease both sides helping the "good faction" or helping MC to get rid of them or at least supporting by providing him with a safe haven far from their reach and influence. Unfortunately, the developer seems to have no plans for an anti templar agenda so I believe most of the actions taken by MC will be similar to the rescue of his father: bring him safe and sound even if he burns bridges soon after. MC will try to prevent the war by exposing the third faction and later will distance himself from the order while his sister will become a full pledge.

Things around Fiona start burning, around Medb they start freezing, around Kaija they start lying, it just goes to show my Elea is the best LI option. I'm just waiting for Ceolag to put her halo and wings on :sneaky:

PS I'm hoping all goes well with Ceo's mother.
well there is still a lot we don't know about Elea so I wouldn't jump the gun just yet :ROFLMAO:

Am I the only one that wanted to throw something at the MC for being an idiot when Paul came to pick him up? The only thing you know about this guy is his name and instead of asking him what his name is to verify if he's the right guy you say, "Are you Paul?" You have the survival instincts of a drunk lemming.

He trusted his mother. His mother told him to get in the car. He wasn't happy about it, he wanted an explanation, but his mother didn't care to offer too many details except the driver's name. Imagine that, his mother hiding things

There are severap points where I want to throw something at MC, but this wasn't one of them. Remember at this point in the story, MC doesn't know anything about anything so it's no weirder to him than taking an Uber. Even if he knows he's potentially in danger, people who have never been in actual mortal danger do not ever really understand. I suspect that if the same thing happened the next day, MC's reaction would have been very different.

It's not trusting his mother that's the issue. It's the question he asked. The smart question would be, "What's your name?"

If you ask, "Are you Paul?" and it is not, in fact, Paul, but rather the kidnapper, their answer would still be "Yes." And now you'll be kidnapped.

When you take an Uber they are supposed to say their name. You are not supposed to ask for it. I don't even use Uber and I know that. Why even ask the name of the person picking you up if you're just going to blurt it out as soon as you see him?

I agree, but I can understand him not asking. He was shocked, his father was kidnapped and his brain was in "What the FUCK mode" He just did what his mother told him. His instincts were still buried by the news he just found out.

I can't imagine how I would react if I was at work minding my own business, my biggest concern being what to have for lunch. Suddenly, your mother rings and says your father is kidnapped, you have to flee work or be captured or killed. It would take a bit for the shock to wear off and the brain to engage. Everyone reacts differently under duress.

Even more scary for me is my father is dead. SO I would really be blown away.
