I think it's burning bridges. I don't know how the Chaoter 5 ends if you kill her. There will be another pretext for war?
It's pretty short. The MC is arrested and detained for several weeks. Medb is irate and wants the MC killed, Ailill blames himself for inviting the MC. Mab drops by to interrogate the MC about the Templars but she only learns he knows nothing about them. Eventually the Alfar decide to ransom him (presumably to the Templars). The update ends as he is about to be shipped back.

I don't think there needs to be another pretext for war since the existing pretexts (whatever they turn out to be) are still there. And Finnabair's death will still be the spark since everyone assumes the MC is a Templar himself..

Could be a nice plot twist: Lady Nimue can travel in time.. So there's an option: She tells the mc to either save Fin or save someone else. Then this is a set-up and Medb was listening, so nothing changes, but Medb now knows if the MC was willing to give up everything to prevent the war or save her daughter...
Or perhaps actually save Fin or someone else.

But then again, I don't write the story, but am anxious waiting for the next part :D

I also (until fully proven otherwise) wouldn't take Medb's comment literally about travelling through time.

Interesting. That would make MC's trip to amend things not only useless, but the catalyst to a big conflict. Everyone would think he is a stupid brat.

IMO if you go there on a mission of peace and kill Finn, those people would be right.

That's just human thinking.
Yep. Imparting ancient wisdom is a moral obligation. In this case, learning to, "shut the fuck up" when someone has an enchanted sword pressed to your throat... *shrug* Lore of the Legends 101 ;)

But because their intent was noble, I choose for my MC to make the attempt.
noble, yeah maybe at the start when they first said, kids are too young lets not tell them about the templars yet, for their safety. then when the kids were older and they decided to postpone, that was for the parents benefit, because telling the truth was hard. after the first time and every moment after they decides to wait, it was out of self interest, nothing more. whats that phrase about the road to hell being paved with good intentions.

im all for MC thus players having the option to forgive or not, but the intent you keep citing to justify your choice doesnt really hold.

burn baby burn, disco inferno, burn baby burn, burn the bridges down
