Small questions regarding Paths, only because I am trying to avoid spoilers and not read everything that was written before...

If, at some point, I do not select the choice that indicates a Path, does that mess it up with that particular LI? I am at the point where I can either declare to Kaija, take a step back, or some other vague response. If I am thinking like the MC, while pissed off at her, it would be unlikely that years of friendship and love could be easily dismissed with a shrug, but if I am thinking like the player, I don't want to lock in to one LI so soon when there are other intriguing prospects, like Elea, Fiona, and Medb.

I usually play my MC as a horndog because so many other VNs promote it but I am getting the impression from my cursory scan of earlier posts that TNT was not designed to be played that way. I actually prefer harem games for this reason - not having to say no. Not that I would expect it all to devolve into threesomes and whatnot, but the ability to be discreet and respectful and still maintain more than one LI (sure, real life is not like that for most people, but this is not real life) reduces the virtual agony of having to choose. I really hated when I had to make that choice in Being a DIK and appreciated it when the dev decided to introduce the harem option into Monster College. How can I choose between a hot werewolf and an adorable vampire?

I suppose my option would be to just create a save at everyone decision junction if needed...

No, you can keep a low or medium high Relship (friendzone) with her and be with another LI without any "punishment" exactly that point is what makes discussing Kaijas personality soo challenging

How the Story is structured, you will need at a future point, high relships with all of them so they are more prone to help you,
Example: If you don't get on Karis good side (Succubus attack) and you don't invite her to drink another glass of mead in the pub, you don't get information which brings you up on another LI path.

This reminds me of the dialogue between Athos and D'Artagnan, when D'Artagnan told Athos that he was courting Milady in order to find out about Constance's fate:

Wow, I loved Chapter 5; it was great, but I did not like how it ended though. I know Finnabair was a side character but does she really have to die? I wish if there is another way Can't wait for the next chapter!

To me, acting lessons hit less hard... It felt so artificial that it broke my immersion. Finnabair hit like a truck, coming out of nowhere.

That's because that bullshit came out of left-field for no reason other than DPC wanting to finish AL and move on to BaDIK for a bigger and better paycheck.

On the other hand, Finnabair's fate was actually depressingly well done.

Edit: Ok ! Disclamer this was an example for explaining the game mechanics, yes you don't need Kari to get full points with Medb, and the Game has enough "backdoors" to get high points even if you don't do certian activities with the LI or for whatever reason in one of the dialoges choose another answer.
It is a quite clever Mechanic, that allows to the player certain flexibility.

If don't get Kari advice, MC calls the Alfar Elves instead. When training, Finn will blow up at you. You then have the option to say 'Is Alfar better'?

Oh he meant Finnabair with LI ok ! now it's clear, because you don't have any interaction with Kari after, that was * what throw me out of the lane,
yes I got that scene in the first playtrough where she schools you! great job with that sequence with Finn.

I can confirm that you still need to stay under 3 relationship points for this path. I played this "new" path up to the point of entering the Templar base before deciding to start over again, again. Heh, I might seem a bit callus here but, even though the path where Kaija never really loved MC fits a little better, I decided that, if she does fall in love with him, it will have more impact when I dump her lying ass. Jus' Sayin'

Yep.
1-2 points = Indifferent
3-4 points = love
5 points = even whispers while leaving how much she loves MC

Running multiple saves for such small details, even some minor lines of dialogue here and there. VN allows lots of joy discovering various paths Ceolag made.
And frankly, all my dislike for her aside, Kaija truly deserves to be explored on all routes. Incredible character.

Hey everyone,

It's been 2 weeks since the release of Chapter 5 and while not everything went as planned or imagined, I'm happy with the result overall.
And that's mostly thanks to you guys. The messages, the feedback, the morale support - all of that has been awesome and beyond my expectations.
Thanks a lot to every one of you!
I spent the past 2 weeks fixing a few things on the game (see the post for version 0.5.0.1), preparing the Steam release (damn, creating over 100 icons for achievements isn't fun after some point...), and as usual a bit time on DAZ trying out a few new things.
Additionally, I started planning out the scenes for Chapter 6 and looking into how to set up Renpy to provide update-only versions. I wanted to do that for Chapter 5 but fucked up the folder structure mid-development.
For Chapter 6 I plan to release an update-only version in addition to the full download so you don't have to download the whole thing again and again.

I'll spend next week with the preparations and planning needed for Chapter 6 and the (hopefully) last adjustments needed for Steam.
After that, I'll be on vacation with the family for 2 weeks (which is one of the reasons why I pushed the Steam release to September - I didn't want to release it just before my vacation) so the official start of the development will be the start of September.
I'll probably have done a bit of development/writing for Chapter 6 before that (in fact, I already have a bit right now) but I'll start setting up renders after I get back from vacation.

I'll probably make a post next Friday too so this won't be the last thing you hear from me before my vacation.

1. Posted unofficial walk through by Maviarab, assume these are typos. or are these point for Medb relationship and not Finnabair points, Because the Dev is mean and hateful and kills off the best Character in the story




2. Assume I need to do a different game path to the following?
a. third Cinematics (Fiona)
b. Gallery locks - 3 with Fiona and 3 with Medb

1. All correct. Medb is taking note of how you act within Alfheim and towards the Alfar so you often gain points for her with other people/interactions.

I'm not even on Medb's path and the game threw me off when I got the park scene with her. Then later the way she acted and then basically yelled at me to leave and that look when she turned away, is going to haunt me.
