You mean the kind of naive simpleton who is lied to and manipulated by his parents and fake girlfriend for his entire life by then sticks with them because the fake girlfriend has a nice ass? The kind of naive simpleton who is cool with his parents painting a target on his back and then giving him a "bodyguard" who is never around, because he thinks it might get him laid? That kind of naive simpleton?
Oh, cry me a river! :KEK:

The poor child was too much sheltered by his parents, fake girlfriend (who is actually his childhood friend), that he turned out to be completely unadapted to the real world, where the forces of evil reign supreme!
I understand, it's quite scandalous that the girlfriend may have other duties besides the well-being of our princess.

But maybe it's time for him to get his shit together, stop self-reflecting and help his family in the righteous fight against the bloody elves, who don't miss a single chance to harm people! Hostages, contract killings, unprovoked hostility towards strangers, as was the case with Finn, these are all calling cards of the long-eared ones! :Kappa:

not sure about pateron rules but if she grew up as a sister and really wasn't one I think some players would still see her as one and wouldn't play her path. Honestly id hate that not like we need anymore ammo for how horrible the parents are to me a twist like that wouldn't feel good in this game imo. At this point such a twist I think would feel somewhat forced because players want to bang her.
Jess aside. I think it’s possible. He doesn’t really look like them and has super- human powers that they do not.

His being sheltered is part of the problem. Given who he is, he would have had a target on his back from birth but they decided not to tell him or give him any real protection- including Kajia who has known who he was for as long as she’s known him but decided that lying to him and earning points with the Templars was the way to go. She was never his friend and the monsters that humanity needs protection from are the Templars.

Kind of hope it's only side girls tbh don't like the idea of a Main one being a LI in book 2.
We already joked that we get to cuck the MC of book 1 in book 2, that shows how much Ceolag loves the current protagonist :KEK:

Flicking through the comments I've been seeing mentions of the fact that Finn was Mebd's daughter. I completely missed this in the game. Can someone please point me at the scene I should be looking at for this revelation?

Providing you attained enough [Medb LP] then she invites you to the funeral...all becomes clear there...

To expand in this, at the funeral, Medb says, "Namaari, min ethiram ainu," which translates to "Farewell, my beloved daughter."

I didn't want to completely spoon feed people...may as well play it for them at that point.
Yeah, I wouldn't have normally bothered, but figured it might be worthwhile since there's some translation involved. (And I only know what "ethiram" means by looking at the comments in the script because it's not used anywhere else. :KEK:)

But for me it complicates things because my loyalty so far is completely with the Alfar, at least when it comes to the Templars and I'll 'bend the knee' to Medb but I have a hard time seeing her as a Li. It's not that she's a "bitch" ... more like aloof and doesn't display emotion much. She's also something like 2000 years old, so wtf are we going to talk about? It seems like every conversation would be her teaching MC about something and him taking notes. And now she is the (deceased) best girl's mom and the idea of pursuing a romantic relationship seems a little Jerry Springer.

I'd like to see another Li who is some kind of reporter / journalist. One of my problems with the Templars isn't even what they did to MC, or Kajia, or even Finn (though all of that is still there). It's that they ... this secret order of a few hundred people ... have decided that humanity doesn't need to know about magic and all of the other creatures they share a planet with because people "couldn't handle it" or whatever. They openly admit that they can't save everyone who is attacked but still don't think that people should know about the threat(s) - even though going public would probably increase recruitment (not necessarily in the Templars but there would be more people willing to fight back against the threats). I don't think the Templars (who nobody f'in elected or appointed) get to make that call all by themselves.

I actually saw the funeral on my first PT of the update and still missed it or at least forgot till saw someone talk about it
You were probably still too traumatised from the lack of head pats and hand holding Des, is completely understandable.

it doesn't really, at least not directly from the in-game language, unless you tried to to memorize all alfar words, then some of what being said makes sense, but honestly I'm too lazy to learn a fictional language. The script does have the translation, but your average player won't look at that.

I would argue that if you are paying attention, it's not overly difficult to figure out (providng you actually saw the scene, which is far easier to trigger now than it was when Ch5 first released).
