With how brazen the Mercs were there is no "training" that would make you come out of that scuffle completely/relatively unharmed as a civvie.I'd rather know there is a chance I'm a target at all times, gives me a fighting chance. I'm not saying they should have made the kids templars but hell they were already training them from a young age. Why not instill in them the notion that they may not always be safe?
He was more lucky than skilled. That merc could have killed Kaija who trained for her entire life with several tutors in several continents. His "training" with the eggball could never prepare him to survive by himself.MC s dad taught them, how to defend themselfes, just he didn't put a label on it, (flashback, during the Merc assault)
Yes, but that doesn't mean his dad didn't taught him and his sister the basics, and you can be the Best Warrior or Killer , till you get killed, the point is he has at least a small chance to survive, and the right mindset. He was more lucky than skilled. Yeah, so you see Linnae did it right, .....It’s not like the parents even kept it secret and let him live his own life. Everything about his life was carefully controlled by the Templars. There were no good points to what they did. They lied to him, kept him in the dark while allowing him zero actual control over his life but still left him exposed to danger with zero warning or preparation and then also constantly sent his ‘bodyguard’ off on other missions- in situations where he couldn’t get ahold of her if he had to.
Realistically they had 3 optionsYeah, so you see Linnae did it right, .....![]()

Oh, my bad, I should be addressing her by her proper title: Dead Bitch Finn.![]()
Share that popcorn.
No, that are only 3 options which you approve, and are right from your point of view, and acording to your belives.Realistically they had 3 options
1) Don’t have kids
2) Raise your kids as if they’re going to be Templars - don’t force them but be honest and prepare / train them
3) Leave the Templars behind once you have kids
Instead they took a completely selfish and irresponsible path that accomplished the worst outcome
You mean the decisions that resulted in an attempt on their son's life - the one who is no longer speaking to them, and is now hanging out with the Alfir and wondering how he can destroy the Templars as an organization. Yeah, their way worked out great. No, that are only 3 options which you approve, and are right from your point of view, and acording to your belives.
There are a lot more of options, as you see in the descitons the partys took.
You are not taking in account that MC has a huge hidden potetisl that could be fully developed by tge time he reached adulthood. It's not a question of becoming a templar but of becoming what he is fated to be.Yes, but that doesn't mean his dad didn't taught him and his sister the basics, and you can be the Best Warrior or Killer , till you get killed, the point is he has at least a small chance to survive, and the right mindset.
that is more than a normal civilian would have, at their disposal in such a situation.
Edited: took out a too personal question .
You the son in your Game. You mean the decisions that resulted in an attempt on their son's life - the one who is no longer speaking to them, and is now hanging out with the Alfir and wondering how he can destroy the Templars as an organization. Yeah, their way worked out great.
Well, you have a point, although neither the MC nor his father knew about his potential, this is something that we the spectators se from outside, and to discover and use this potential to become what ever he is fated is up to him (or us as we play that character). You are not taking in account that MC has a huge hidden potetisl that could be fully developed by tge time he reached adulthood. Actually I believe his potential is the reason for the secrecy. He is not their son and they have choosen to keep the supernatural a secret so that he doesn't develop anything and the council put him under close vigilance to sound an alarm if he ever manifests his powers.Well, you have a point, although neither the MC nor his father knew about his potential, this is something that we the spectators se from outside, and to discover and use this potential to become what ever he is fated is up to him (or us as we play that character).
That is entirely possible, though if it's true it means that they are still lying to him and the MC has even more reason to hate them (his parents and the Templars).Actually I believe his potential is the reason for the secrecy. He is not their son and choose to keep the supernatural a secret so that he doesn't develop anything and the council put him under close vigilante to sound an alarm if he ever manifests his powers.
The concept is called plausible deniability. They cover the truth with a lie and if the truth partially emerges they cover again with another lie. It's a concept created by CIA operatives. It also means that MC has powers to be a game changer and is dangerous beyond belief. That is entirely possible, though if it's true it means that they are still lying to him and the MC has even more reason to hate them (his parents and the Templars).
It's still a lie, no matter what you call it. Being dangerous beyond belief would be fun though. The concept is called plausible deniability. I suspect something like that, yeah, My guess would be that he is one of the offspring of Medbs childhood friend, as we learned if you live in Alfarheimer, for a period of time the Magic starts manifesting in you.Actually I believe his potential is the reason for the secrecy.
