Maybe the general story of templars, elves and other mofos is still fine, but characterization of LI's is slipping.
Kaija q&a is weak, and the walkback on her words makes her character cheap.
The way finnabairs double attempt at taking life was just brushed under the carpet is also quite weak cliche, previously bullshit like that(kaija) didnt go unchecked, but now it seems it will be the norm.



The elven adventure was already a detached slice of life episode, where the general story did not move forward much. And now ep 6 has taken an even slower pace of developing the main story.
There being no middle ground on finnabairs relationship between killing her and being her friend, even with LI's you can go neutral,friend,lover. But i guess the plotline where Sayo's actions are ignored by MC would make too much of a mess later on.

Yeah, I agree the aftermatch of Finnabair assassination was a bit disappointing, I was expecting more initiative on our side, we have the murderer it was as simple as suggesting we bring her to the elven side to show goodwill and try to deescalate and if the Templars don't like that idea we have allies on our side to try to force it either way.

But the Elven adventure it was more than just slice of life it also gives you some context of how they think and their POV on some things, also it's one of the first adventures that actually feels like us showing initiative even if we were pushed initially.

Actually i was refering to Ch.5 where finnabair tried to murder MC twice.
It was resolved as if finnabairs crime was to just cut in line at the grocery store and not the taking of the first and last thing a man has.

I just don't like having to pick one girl/path too early in the game when you haven't had the chance to try others first.
Late game or last chapter is better IMO.
I'm a 'Try before you buy' guy.

No, unfortunately not, if you open the Character menu at the end you see the 4 main LI, the rest of them are side girls,

What "crime"?
MC went to their territory, with acceptance that he may be killed or worse, when war was about to be declared, when elves and humans were already killing each other at the smallest of chances. Of course, she tried to kill him.
And once she understands she, in this particular case, acted in error, she's ashamed of herself, she opens up to the MC becomes a true friend, changes her long held beliefs and offers her aid to the MC and apparently dies for it.

In any event, I don't see who was supposed to have not let things go in this situation? The MC? I guess he could have bitch and moan more about it, but that would have been counterintuitive, as MC's self-given mission was to endure that kind of highly expected reception and do all he can to prevent the war.

She's ashamed because she lost and now has to do an equivalent of life's debt.
If there was a scene where she actually comes to a realization that MC is more than just a human, and that she considers him a friend and is horrified of the actions she took against him, then the chapter would have been a superb one, otherwise her relationship ceiling is "acquaintance" in my eyes.

Of course, she tried to kill him.
